Great video I been looking for a video explaining this exact setting for drag racing. I hope you make more videos on how to use the futaba for drag racing. Thanks

At last, a decent 7PXR vid. If I get recommended one more M17 vid I'm going to have an aneurysm

LOL well the M17 is a better remote for No Prep RC Drag. But I figured I would do one for you guys with the Futaba

Thank u. . Not enough videos and information out there on setting up the futaba 7pxr for drag. I hear there are some fast guys that get the job done with this radio. . Not just the sanwa m17. Hopefully u pist more videos on this radio. Can u set up radio for bringing car back safe?

Thanks! I’ll try. It’s not my transmitter. Belongs to a friend and I was tuning his car for him. But if I have time tomorrow while I’m making my tire comparison video I’ll go over some things with the Futaba

The Futaba is about $100 more than the Sanwa retail price.

I watched your video on both the Sanwa and the Futuba for No Prep. Does the Futuba have the 9 point adjustment like the Sanwa? In your opinion which one would be best for No Prep? Also I would love to see a review on the Radiolink RC8X. Its a Futuba clone with all the ramping and 9 points of adjustment. Great job!

Any way to set a switch to choose which Throttle mode you want to use? For example, I'd like to use the 3position switch SSW1 to switch between Mode 1, 2, 3

Should the bottom one be 100 when you put prep on tires for a 1/7 scale

I’ve thought about doing a Patreon for videos on specific ESC tunes as well as Remote tuning content including spring rates and chassis set up etc. it’s definitely something I’ve considered doing.

How about setting the points in curve
@oscarvelazquez21282 жыл бұрын
Awesome video man. Question I'm fairly new to the hobby and I been running a trinity 2.5T motor with the futaba 10px. Why do yo start a 2.5T motor dual rate at 75%?
@gravityracergt2 жыл бұрын
To help with voltage. 2.5T at 100% throttle will have a bad voltage drop. Be sure to test and start with a 75 % EPA setting and check voltages and if you are still above 7.0 voltage then bump up to 80%. Repeat process till you see more voltage drop than you desire. Generally you don’t want to go below 6.4 Volts at the lowest in your logs. Always test with fully charged battery each pass
@oscarvelazquez21282 жыл бұрын
@@gravityracergt ok that explains a lot my voltage drop was 6.2 at the beginning 2 months ago and now is 5.7 to 5.4. I use the trinity 6400mah battery I been killing that battery. I'm fairly new to the hobby and is really hard to get good explanation. Thanks a lot I really appreciate the help and info

You can also use acceleration to simulate point. The point in speed function is just the speed point not throttle like the acceleration does. Acceleration is the equivalent to point in a p style tune in a sanwa. Point in the speed just refers to how fast the speed or throttle goes to that point and not the power.
@gravityracergt2 жыл бұрын
Good info. I did forget to include that.
@Dirty2632 жыл бұрын
So what u saying is to use acceleration instead of the point @corey edwards
@Lushiouscorey20112 жыл бұрын
@@Dirty263 no both. Acceleration is what power based on throttle position in the radio. Point is just what percentage of throttle pull you start at. Ex. If you have 15 Acceleration and 10 point you leave with 15% instant throttle and for 10% of the trigger pull is what ever speed you set it at for that percentage of trigger pull. This all gets more complexed if you use expo in the radio as well. Hope this helps
@Dirty263 Жыл бұрын
@@Lushiouscorey2011 hey bro so how do u add that in with two n three speed. Ramp ? The point act the same way on all three speeds
@Lushiouscorey2011 Жыл бұрын
@Dirty263 I use 2 speed for my ramp timing. Set the point around 12-15 to start and first speedc at 77 and second speed around 20. This is a close to a -96 ramp in the sanwa. To move to the -95 you would increase the 20 to about 26 or 28. To finev the it, use the endpoint. Pretty much the same as three m17 guys going positive epa to shorten the time in the ramp.

Whats the return for on speed ? And is there a setting or something for when driving the car back?
@gravityracergt2 жыл бұрын
Return speed is just how fast the throttle returns back to zero after releasing it

Do you prefer futaba 4pm/7px over sanwa m17 for nprc? Why? tia
@gravityracergt2 жыл бұрын
M17 is the one I prefer. A lot simpler to work with and seems to be more effective and easier to get desirable results.
@eagleeyes97702 жыл бұрын
I continue to get conflicting feedback with Futaba vs Sanwa. Could you do a video directly comparing the two transmitters for nprc? I think many people would appreciate this.
@gravityracergt2 жыл бұрын
@@eagleeyes9770 I would but I don’t have the Futaba. I was tuning a friends car and it’s his. Honestly after using the Sanwa for a year it only took me a few minutes of using the Futaba to appreciate the simplicity of my Sanwa M17 and how good it is. In my opinion the Sanwa is the better option hands down.

If you set that dual rate to less than 100 you will not reach full throttle and you won't ever get into any turbo or boost from your ESC.
