Thanks for your review. My RC history goes back to 1975, one year before Americas Bi-Centennial of 1976. Started with an RS radio, moved into Kraft in 1977, then Futaba in the early 90's. Bought the Futaba 9CAP for aircraft, and still use it today. In all those years, I had only one problem that crashed a beautiful Christian Eagle in 2013. Sent the radio in for service, and was told I had a burned out Solenoid. Fixed, I continued flying my 9CAP until today, July 2019, still without any problems, but I have decided it's time to purchase the new radio. With all my experience using Futaba, I can truthfully say that Futaba has been a really great radio system. I did consider the Spectrum 9 black, but decided to stay with the old reliable Futaba. I don't really need 12 channels, but I believe quality is #1, and I'm buying the T12K for my Pattern and all other flying. Programming will be literally the same, and any learning curve will be minimal. Looking forward to it's arrival. Signing off with my catch phrase of, "Down Wind & Dead Stick" from days of old! Nice! I’m glad you’re happy with your Futaba Radio. Been on and off with this hobby, both Heli and Airplane. Did have the DX8 before till that one day my Heli did an unusual 180 turn hovering and just went down. Switched to Futaba T8FG, then 14SG, then 16SZ and now the 12K. Zero issues with the previous Futaba radios, the 12K will see how it goes. Let’s just say I’m a Futaba kind of guy 😂 cheers from Cali!

how do you like the 12k? I thinking about ordering one and putting crossfire on it...I really want the 16sz but the 12k is a little more wallet friendly

Indigo Ryno I actually just replaced mine with a 16, the 12 was nice! Loved it but I wanted a radio with voice. Spektrum Sucks, Futaba is the way to go.

After decades of flying just about every major brand , I came full circle to Futaba. I had three brown outs with Spektrum , and moved to JR XG14, no more brown outs , but didnt like that the future of JR was uncertain. My T12K, 14SG and 10J Have been COMPLETELY DEPENDABLE with zero issues of any kind. That confidence is very important and makes flying much relaxing..the way it should be. With the brown outs/ loss of contact with the airplane , I was more concerned about someone getting injured ,than I was about loosing a model. Programing is not difficult at all on the models mentioned above , dont buy hype..buy qualify , performance and dependability!

Hey buddy, I have been flying for 15 years on Futaba ,never had one issue at all , I have a 14sg and love it .A friend gave me a Spektrum once to try and I lost a few planes in as many weeks from brownouts lucky they were cheapies ,btw I have seen fpv planes go over 5klms on sfhss protocol like yours so I know Futaba has a solid link .

Does the servo slow work nicely? I am also wondering about the vario, can it produce the typical vario "melody"? My T10J can only give me the values, no tones. Also, does it heat up a lot in the sun with the black color? Thanks!

Thanks for the review, I'm buying one in a few days. I had to laugh at someone who wrote a review and claimed the transmitter was "too small" and "toy-like", so he "went back to Spektrum"! Looking at the two transmitters side-by-side in your video review?? The Spektrum DX8 is smaller than the T12K!! I just dunno...whoever wrote that review seems to have an ulterior motive or an agenda...

This was not a review... It was a reflection of your opinion about the 12K, a review would go into the full system, and then you might have compared it to your unliked or not so reliable transmitter. My co-producer just said.... "what the hell did I just watch".... Just our observation.

Came across to this video I know it’s an old video. I have Futaba 14SG before and regret selling it. I’m looking to get a used 14SG but even the old one still at around $350 to $450 dollars, and for that price I can get the T12KH Helicopter Version. My question is, build quality wise how is it comparable to 14SG, user interface too? Thanks

HeliModTRC have since upgraded to the 16SZ, 12 was a good radio but wanted touch screen and voice

"Much more simpler" is incorrect English! It's either "More Simple", or just "Simpler". To combine the two is totally incorrect. I am sure many of your friends say it the way you did, and THEY ARE ALL WRONG! Wait for college, and you will learn the correct way to speak English. Sorry & no offense! Just trying to help you with your speech.
