Just watched this movie recently. This is the scene that stuck with me the most. The way the scene is shot with the film stock coming in and out of the scene perfectly demonstrates where Elio’s mind is at. Elio sitting in the middle of the bushes, wondering where Oliver is at. His mind racing as to his true feelings he is experiencing for him and well as what he is coming to terms about himself on the inside. The music is just the chef’s kiss on top of everything.

I recommend reading the book before watching the movie,it really gives you chills knowing how Elio waited all day for him and then acted non chalantly when he knew that Oliver came back home in the night..💗

This is one of the best scenes in the movie by far! I just love it ❤️ It makes me feel that love is comfy, soft and delicate. It brings me so much calm and gives some melancholy due Elio’s thoughts

What’s that technique called where the blue washes into the picture?

It is the film inside the camera that get "too much" exposure to the light when they are developing it. For this exemple maybe it was done on purpose.

@@victorsavoie9919 how can I do this affect. Do I need a film camera with the Reel or can I do this post production?
@victorsavoie99192 жыл бұрын
@@romelohdz Oh you can do it post production for sure, you would have to do a little research on KZbin, I'm sure it's easy. I don't know what is the exact name of the effect sadly :/

@@victorsavoie9919 This effect is caused when the lens is not properly attached to the camera when shooting on film. The light leaks in between the lens and camera body.

@@SerAunit yes exactly ! You are right, I think it can also happen when they develop the film and they are not careful I think.
