I had a male green iguana a few years back. Winter was hard on him with dry air and all. I used to have to do what you're doing. The spikey parts were the hardest. If you miss just one spine the skin will harden around the base, cutting off circulation and it will die and fall off. He lived 13 1/2 yrs. I have a Leopard Gecko now.

It will be painful to lose your pet, your important partner. Please accept my sincere condolences. I will be careful not to overdo the molting especially spikes parts.It's better to cut the surroundings and wait naturally! I used to have two Leopard Geckos. They were orange and yellow and also very cute and important.

Thanks for explaining the sand by the hands/feet. I was wondering what that was. Also, what do you mean fingers prone to moulting failure? They don't moult on their own and need help?

Thank you for watching 😊 My bearded dragon does not always molt my fingertips. Moulting at the tips of the fingertips (and tail )often remains white. The cause may be that it is a delicate part, and that there is little humidity or trigger(There is not enough material to rub the skin in the cage.) Based on the past, I'm trying to be careful with her fingertips. In addition, there are many cases of molting failure of fingertips other than me, so I would like to alert everyone. Sorry for my very long explanation 😭

I always check my lizards toes and tips of tails to make sure any shed is off when shedding otherwise it can cut off blood supply to tips of toes and tails and the they can easily loose toes and tips of tails xxx:

ご視聴ありがとうございます😊 脱皮をそのままにしておくと、どうなるかですね！ うちの子の場合は、脱皮中、手足でかいたり、身体を地面に擦り付けたりして過ごします。 大きな脱皮部分は取れるのですが、細かい部分、指やトゲトゲ部分は取れずに残ったりします。 取れずに残った場合、脱皮不全といわれ、壊死したり欠損するらしいです。

@@りん-z6t5p 今晩は⭐️ 背中の黒い部分ですが、指してる部分が肩あたりであれば、もともとの柄で黒い斑点があります。 フトアゴがストレスを感じると黒くなるので、それもあるのかもしれません。 うちの子は、爪切りが苦手で、その時は特にアゴが真っ黒になります😱
