The title of the episode is a reference to the Isaac Asimov book “I, Robot” & when they got their new apartment a reference to the The Odd Couple opening, & when Bender bends the clock it is a reference to Dali’s "The Persistence of Memory" - Note Bender's apartment number is 00100100 which in binary is 36 or "$"

One of my favourite lines in all of Futurama is in this episode: “Although we are technically in New Jersey.” Immediately cuts to them back at the office. I forgot Benders “Hey sexy mama…wanna kill all humans?” Was from this episode too.
