Thank you for your message...machine learning/ python has great potential in the future..many mechanical guys have opted for data scientist which is a very good option...you can go for solid works as it is much needed in industry for automation and control...if you are already well versed with some softwares try finding some good projects/ internships and polish your skills..all the best

It's a harsh reality ...I also learnt mechanical engineering very well ...scored a decent score of 52 in gate ....Pvt job me ek Saal kaam Kiya ....samaj gya kya future he ... switch on my job into teaching students 9,10,11,12 th sci ...sci / maths / Phys .. teaching me bi mechanical to nai hi pakda ...I love teaching guys ...and saatho Saath Pg diploma in data science start kardiya he ...trust me guys data science is just an awesome field if you don't love coding much ... coding bahot kam he liked you have to learn python and R and guys I love it ...its easy compared to c , c++ and java ... along with my teaching love ...go for data science guys ....bcoz it requires two things 1) mathematical and analytical thinking 2) logical thinking At these two things we mechanical engineers are really good at ... So opt for this field and I love both teaching and data science ...and yes graphic designer and video editors are very interesting jobs ..even I love to make logos and posters ...even I made myself my coaching posters and logo and I love it ....sir is right ki proper core mechanical me Kuch nai he itna ab it's like dead end

Well I would like to add that no one should take mechanical engineering till 2030 if they dont have real passion towards it. Only then the demand will rise. Also vacancies are less because mechanical engineering related companies are risk averse and also don't like to train new people. Instead they only take experienced people and give extension to retired people. If you have already got 5 years of experience in mech field, Your job maybe secured. But for new guys it is difficult to get jobs even with training from institutes on latest field in mechanical as there are too many mech pass outs. But if a mech guy gets a job in mech design or latest domain like EV, and somehow gains 5 years experience, he will be a gold dust to the market. All one has to do is to not get disheartened at the salaries for and not compare themselves with IT guys till they are of 40 years of age. IT jobs are not as rosy as people think even data science is not as rosy as people think. By 2030 many would have entered IT field and there will be scope for employers to reduce salary of IT guys and job security will reduce(its already reduced a great deal).

It's ok to take cs or IT branch but the reality is people are running in rat race....after few years this IT field will definitely saturate and there is very tough competition to get a job and also there is no job security....u should have to update yourself otherwise it will very difficult to survive in IT industry

Thank you for your question....well talking of this stream, it ha a lot of potential for industry and related areas...but as afar as teaching field is concerned, one cannot certainly say that you will be benefitted as core streams ( thermal, production, design) are more preferred.... But still your Ph.D. will be in mechanical only which will certainly add value to your career...All the best

Sir i don't think you are an engineer, how irresponsible and inaccurate you're, the camera from which you record this lecture, the microphone from which you record your audio,the screen through which you deliver your content, your jacket,pant, shirt woven by a fully automatic machine all are the examples of mechanical design. I'm working in a German company and believe me guys if you have passion for mechanical engineering you can excel in your life. Mechanical, electrical, electronics, cs all are the equally important branches but the point is "supply to demand" if supply exceeds the demand than obviously no new vacancies will formed, it happens to every branch not only in mechanical, have you ever heard about mass lay offs in cs branch?

Sir, what you are saying is definitely true But sir please mention that saying there is no job for this branch confuse the student who are in top colleges. As per my research my college has many core recruiter like vedanta ,adani enterprises,tata steel etc which gives around 9.45 to 10.5 lpa to freshers. Everybody can't take cs in top colleges. So in my opinion rather than going to cs in pvt. Colleges students should take admission in core branch in top govt. Colleges. If I'm wrong please correct me 🙏

@@mechzone9453 there is no way out for mechanical branch students...the gate scores are skyroketting...due to our feku pm PSU are shutting their gates for new recruitments..and IT sector is booming like hell...and mechanical industry not providing that much salary..so it's better to update the syllabus of mechanical engineering so that mech students can earn good packages after the graduation in it industry
