I agree that the sound transfer between units would need to be almost zero. I also think that smell transfer would need to be addressed... Walking down the hall of my old apartment building used to be an olfactory adventure that I didn't sign up for.

I wonder how that would be best handled. Some kind of air filtration in common areas? It is certainly an interesting issue. Maybe positive air pressure in the hallways to help? I don't know, I'm no engineer, but it's an interesting thought. I think technology will help with these kinds of things more and more as we move forward and try to address them.

@@futureunfolded I think not so long maybe what in 2-3 years because those massive monoliths structures previously required a lot of capital and the major share of that capital was labour costs but now with 3 d printing and all it is doable but first it may be about 2 stories tall but one big building with all it function to become a arcology
