With the time travel ability, it slowly kills you if you change the present too much by altering the past. Not only that, but their futures have diverged so much future peter may not be able to access past peters new future anymore. Future peter no longer has hope in his own timeline, but he does have hope in past peter's timeline, that he can at least make it so he won't have to suffer future peter's present, if past peter will follow through where future peter cannot anymore. Sorry, that's really confusing.

I remember watching this and thinking in all the possibilities, if Peter was intelligent he could beat everyone's asses, there wouldn't even be a chance to get him, in the scene that Gabriel explodes later on, he could've just stopped time and killed the villains, but idk he's so dumb.

Torian Flack the problem is all the inconsistencies. Anyone with Claire’s power shouldn’t be able to die period. This version of Peter had regeneration. He can only be “killed” when that spot begins is head is destroyed. Even tho Claire shot him, the Haitian got knocked out, thus his ability of power negation is out the question since he’s incapacitated. Future Peter should’ve been able to get up.

Not just regeneration he had power a lot of it, he put the body and soul of his younger self in another body and gave him control. The amount of power future Peter had was insane, he too much for the Haitian to even suppress, remember how he was struggling to suppress Arthur power when he stole all of Peter's power, now future Peter had way more power. Even if in the Haitain was unconscious the bullet should not have knocked him out he should gotten right back up in mere seconds. This is when the series for me started going down hill.

Christopher Marshall Peter was not OP in my opinion, but Sylar was definitely OP. He should have been killed off in season one permanently. He never should have gotten Claire’s powers. By letting him drag on as the ultimate villain his song got old and boring.

Christopher Marshall you are only partially correct. Sylar had the same abilities as Peter they were just expressed differently. Sylars abilities were intentional rather than unintentional. In addition to Peters natural empathic abilities, Sylar had the ability to seek out and find others with abilities. He was also a sadist, a sociopath and a homicidal maniac who induced extreme terror in his victims. He explained to Claire when he took her powers, he didn’t really need to cut open peoples head and see how their powers worked, he just like inflicting terror on his victims. What really took Sylar over the top was his complete lack of boundaries. He was like a tornado inside a coffee shop. I stand by my original statements.

It was depressing to watch Peter being that useless and pathetic. He was the most special among everyone and they turned him into jelly.

Maybe the Haitian was blocking Future Peter's powers to prevent him from healing, I mean, he can do that without even touching people, so that could explain why Peter died from two gunshots; he just bleed to death before he could start healing. Now, if you see closely, Future Peter is death way before the Haitian got hit, so there you have. The other explanation is maybe the Haitian didn't black out.

A shot that didnt hit the heart like those, would have him bleeding out for a few minutes. This shit was dumb. Oh and he definetly would have gone down like that, insta ded. Many times people dint even realize they got shot until the blood loss makes them dizzy. No adrenaline pumping or running means he would stay there bleeding out for quite a while. Hell he probably wouldnt even die if manages the blood loss from the hemorrhage. He should have had his regeneration kick in the moment the haitian got hit.

It's either a plot hole OR maybe there is something like a catalog for people who wants to get a power - with only nice powers (flying, superspeed, strenght, healing, reflex etc.) nothing dangerous for a timeline or a world (radioactive, controlling time and space, copying powers).

I'd go with the second option. If these powers existed in real life, the governments would manage to sell the common ones to civilians, you know, to make their life easier by running fast to their jobs, or make the TV remote fly all the way to their hands, but I'm pretty sure they'd keep the dangerous powers for themselves, probably for military use or something. And trust me, space-time manipulation would be at the top of that list.

I did my own "time jump as a viewer": I re-watched Volume 1 and then went straight to Volume 4 (I'm currently 14 episodes into Volume 5). I don't regret it at all and I wasn't lost with the story, to be honest (except for Tracy, but nothing that Google can't clarify). Watching this clip, I know I did the right choice...during Season 1, Milo did an acceptable Future Peter, not bad at all. This scene looks like he's unconvinced or bored and just wants to go home.

I watched it around 2014 and last year I started playing this game. I go to IMDB pick a rando episode, read the description and try to figure out what the heck is going on. Started showing it to my sis last week thinking my memory of first season events were pretty good, and let's just say I was blindsided by more than one plot point from my muddied memory... I even forgot Sylar didn't cause the explosion.

Yeah, if you flinch and close your eyes like that every time you fire, you tend to not hit anything. Thought the point of acting was to make things believable if she's supposed to be some trained agent in this future all that flinching when she fires the gun doesn't make much sense.

This scene always made no sense, wouldn't future Peter have Claire's ability? How did a few bullets kill him permanently? He clearly had his original ability, so he could hold onto multiple abilities, and not the nerfed one at a time thing they gave present Peter. Despite being on opposite sides as future Claire, he clearly still knew her before they went their separate ways, so how does he not heal?
