One of the first power stations was hydro on the Niagara falls, most of the first automobiles where electric. If oil hadn't been discovered until the 30's or 40's or there was never any oil it wouldn't have held us back that much we'd have simply went a different route.

Watching this documentary and with some but limited knowledge I have as a Chemical Engineer, it triggered something in me to at least write this comment. I'm normally leaning to opinions of Great Minds, who were to a large extent ignored, ridiculed and destroyed. One of them is Nikola Tesla. Just imagine what would happen if all Tesla's ideas and patents would seace to exist. We'd all be finished in weeks. Without going further in justifying my point, but those, who know ,they know and others can learn .Its all on the net. According to Tesla his best invention out of 700 + is his Double Coil patent which is connected to his HARP and Death Ray invention . This was his biggest Mistake which for the last 30 years of his life, pushed him in a house arrest in NY hotels ,being ignored. His last major presentation of his top inventions was a Wardennclyffe Tower ,Long Island NY. Among the Establishment present ,was Mr. Morgan, who invested in this project, expecting Tesla's invention of the Telegraph. Instead, Tesla presented an industrial scale device /tower , which when he switched it on he ,by using Tesla coils , managed to get earth ionosphere charged plus+ with the Earh ,charged minus- into Resonance and millions ov Volts instantly created lightning directed to the top of the Tower ,through coils and down to Earhing deep bellow the surface. Tower bytw was built with antient Hindu geometry, like Pyramids ( Energy devicees) . Mr. Morgan asked ; " what is this? Tesla responded "" Free electricity for everyone and transfer of information at the same time instantly. ; Morgans response; " well sir. If I can't charge and put a meter on , I'm not interested. This was the end of Nikola Tesla. QUESTION; why do we not look deeper into Tesla's inventions like THe Double Coil and Wanderclyfe Tower exoeriment which has proven back in 1900 . I think I know Why and I'm sure You Know It Too. I''ve done it, I've written it down in the shortest possible way. Its al on the Net if interested. If I convinced one of You to even listen, I would take it as a small success. Who knoos it can triger a Storm or Complette Calm ,its Wothed. No other means of Energy would be needed. There is abondance of Energy , Frequency and Vibrations / Resonances around us ,but we dont even think about it. Compacency and Ignorance ar dangerous , to us all !!!!

I'm not an Phd or Emiritus in anything but I want to ask why they build LNG Terminals in City based Harbours? Why not build a very long Pier that goes at least several Miles into the Sea and extract it there? Then pipeline it to safe storage Facilities, also miles from anywhere!

They build the terminals in harbors because the LNG is produced inland and pipe lined to the terminals for international markets. North America is swimming in NG compared to South East Asia. The point of the terminals is put it on and giant ships for export.

@@Luke-tg9jy Except LNG Shipments are fraught with so much Danger. With both the Ships and the Terminals who needs Nuclear Weapons when you have those on your Doorstep? Oil and Gas Pipelines are cheaper, safer and more reliable. Even advocates of Renewables like Robert Kennedy have said they'd prefer Pipelines to Ships for that reason.

During the last ice age, most of North and South America were covered in lakes. They all dried up when the ice melted, lowering sea level, and the warm air evaporated the rest.

With the advent of better technology and methods, the calculated supply of oil that can be recovered from deposits has quadrupled in the U.S. alone...not to mention the Albertan oil sands and other jurisdictions. When it comes to coal, Britain alone has an estimated 1000 years of coal reserves...there are other jurisdictions as well. Be careful about science when it become politicized.
