Swear a nice portion of Knicks fans are a little challenged. The only player we should think about possibly moving is Sims. Any trade for Mitch yields a player that isn't even as good and may cost more. Yes, you may not like that Mitch is injury prone, but with KAT as our starting 5, Mitch can come off the bench and bully opposing teams reserves (defensively of course) much in the same way he abused Jarrett and Mobley when we eliminated them in the postseason 2 years ago. Additionally, only 10 players league wide played all 82 games last season. So we need to adjust our expectations accordingly. Lastly, This team is set. Put the crack down and get used to having a core of players around for years to come instead of playing it like it's 2K not looking at contracts, return of adequate talent and fit of that new piece/chemistry.

I feel it’s a tough call whether Mitch stays or goes. If Mitch can return to his full contact form he would be a major contributor as a rim protector however he’ll become a free agent next season. Those ankle surgeries and time missed playing will make things more challenging. What will his market value be? And he isn’t much of a scorer. Id say trade him if the right deal can be made. He seems like a good guy so in general it would be hard to see him leave.
@mummistheword11 сағат бұрын
We’ve played much better with sims in the rotation. He’s obviously not a scorer but his rebounding, athleticism, and defense have made a huge impact in multiple games for us. It makes no sense to trade him for another center that’s a mediocre defender who scores 10-15 a game. We have more than enough offensive firepower. What we’re missing compared to last season is elite defense, offensive rebounding, second chance points, and forced turnovers. We have the best offense in the league. We obviously don’t need another scorer.

If the Knicks aren’t confident in Mitch remaining healthy, then no team will be interested in him. Sims salary won’t allow the Knicks to bring back anyone that can help us without adding an additional player. If we trade Sims and Achiuwa then we are totally dependent on the health of our remaining bigs and whomever we trade for. Also it takes time to integrate any one into Thibs system.

Robinson is hurt. Who is in the market for an injured big man. Nobody is going to trade for him. Also Robinson skill set is what we need. Unless we can trade and injured Robinson to bring a another Robinson, Robinson is stuck on the Knicks until he can prove that he is healthy enough to contribute on a team. Thibs not opening a rotation spot for another small.

@@scottbertrand2057 I understand that but what contributing player can the Knicks get for an injured player not ready to contribute. Most of the names brought up won't see rotation mins unless they fill in the Mitch/Sims spot which is reserved for a defensive big who can rebound and protect the rim for 13-17 mins per game.
