Yes, you just get the occasional Cat 4 or 5 hurricane that blows roofs off houses that don't have hurricane clips.

Millions of houses are built on hills like this including mine just down the street. It's NOT an issue if you do everything correctly as I've said in all the *PREVIOUS* videos in this series.

this happened with my house. I had to get plates installed to pull my hinge point back in and support it

@@askthebuilder 8k for plates and the wall is still not plumb but better and reinforced from further “falling”

1:29 I love how you didn't mention anything about those shimmy shim shims between the plates! That's the sign to kick those framers to the curb before they do more hacks like that. I mean even the shim isn't placed correctly😂They put the last corner shim right on the corner so that 2x6 can tilt inward into nothing 🤣 BTW Tim, you say this isn't your build, so how do you know there's not a substantial mono pour with adequate rebar in there? wouldn't you think you'd be better off to double check with the architectural plans before you dunk on the build?

I have been watching this build from the start. Where the hell are the building inspectors? Shouldn't the concerned citizen drop the dime to the county?

Each city/town has a different schedule for when the inspector shows up. Years ago in Cincinnati, OH, the inspectors came out the first time to check the soil before you'd pour the footing. The next required inspection was the framing BEFORE any mechanicals were installed. Then they'd come out to inspect after all the mechanicals were in to check for firestopping and insulation. Separate inspectors did plumbing/electric. Then the final inspection was for the CO. Here in New Hampshire, are you sitting down?, some towns require NO inspections. This is true in many parts of the USA.

@@askthebuilder I can say in the 3 counties that I have lived in Florida. The inspector inspects. Then signs it off. I bet the building plans aren't even posted there.
