As mentioned at an earlier reaction: the eps are telling their story together. From beasties, to couple, over separation to besties again. That's why you have to watch them in order. They were a couple for a while, but Mitch ended it. As he did with Kirstie.

Jo Qofi, it's a concept Album in two Parts. First EP about the time they dated and how they fell in love, second EP post break up during the Sing Off, trying to be friends again after not talking for months. Future Friends is the last Song. Maybe U can do the Album in order for the whole Concept. They also released a Book about their Story when they worked on the Album.

The stand-ins/wrestlers being comically more muscular then Scott and Mitch is a reference to Spongebob Squarepants of all things. They are both the fighters and the commentators looking in horror at what they are doing to each other. The song is about breaking up so that they can maybe be future friends instead of an unhappy couple. They dated briefly when they were still teen-agers and it almost ruined their friendship.

Future Friends is about moving on. It was, in essence, the end of Superfruit. But most people didn't pay attention to what they were saying.
