Great!!! I was at that very spot in October 1982 while stationed in West Germany while in US Army. Got to visit East & West Berlin on a military sponsored tour for 1-week. Was quite the experience to see Soviet and East Germany soldiers up close - we basically just stared at each other curiously. Got to see and touch the berlin Wall, visit Check Point Charlie, the prison where Rudolph Hess was held at, and plenty of locations in East Berlin. The contrast between the two cities was quite sobering!! Speaking of "sober" West Berlin was quite the PARTY town at that time as well. THANKS!! for the memories!! Also, those Tamiya kits are excellent choices and are great builds!!

You are very welcome. East and West Berlin are really a thing of the past now. If you never been to Berlin during the Cold War, you would never know there was a wall and a deep division between the two cities. Almost all of the wall has been torn down and been developed. The only thing you can tell there was a wall is the special paved sidewalks. When you walk at certain parts of Berlin, you would see this odd patterned pavement that marks where the former wall used to be. In my opinion, I think most of Berlin is now party happy all the time. I went through most of Berlin including the bad neighborhoods, most people were happy. There's a vibe in this city that yells "I'm alive" and you can feel it from the people there. The Berliners were nice to me since I didn't speak German. The generations after the wall fell can't imagine their city was split in two. To them, it was just history that can't be repeated. I want to thank for watching this video. I'm excited with my future builds. Take care.

Interesting and beautiful place to be. Do not forget to look around on the old buildings and u-bahn supports for traces of ammo impacts. There is a lot still visible once you start noticing it.. enjoy 😉

Thank you. When I was in Berlin, I was at the Unter den Linden Ubahn station and saw the Ghost Station. I didn't see any bullet holes there but I saw a lot of bullet holes on Museum Island. Germany is a beautiful country.
