I remember when RE4 mobile released for iPhone back in the day my friend and I were surprised to see an near console experience on a mobile phone, we were used to old Java pixel games, but RE4 mobile felt like the real deal, now seeing a proper AAA game port for mobile phones is amazing, maybe not the best experience yet, but its getting there.

​@@amarson2322 No. The Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is actually faster. Check out the benchmarks and even better proper stress tests. I have seen a very good one, which forced both phones on their knees and on that test clearly the S23 Ultra beat even the iphone 15 PM on gaming.

It seems Apple is seriously going to the gaming environment with the Apple's way. The A17 pro works somewhat okay even though it couldn't handle heavy VFx and transparent texture, while M1 Chips works better, I suppose M3 Max will works as any other high-end PC. I'm surprised that the game works on both devices with minimum graphics settings to reduce motion sickness. But hey, it's an AAA game.

Runs great and I'm sure Resident Evil 4 and Asscreed Mirage will run great as well, but the games run as well or better on the Steam Deck and fly on the ROG Ally and Lenovo Go, proper dedicated gaming handhelds designed to mitigate problems running these games on the iPhone such as heat and battery drain. Apple is trying to get into the gaming market and they have class leading CPUs, but they should try to use that advantage to ensure optimisation of PC games on their Macs instead.

I believe that playing games on Arm is the future of portable devices for video games, compare the size of the Steam Deck and Rog Agly with that of the largest iPhone, it is truly portable, and on Arm devices you can better manage the battery issue (which is the weakest point of steam deck and rog agly) and heat of the device with adequate cooling

Look, it IS impressive and all, but…who would actually ever choose to play a game in these conditions? The performance is great considering it’s a phone, but pretty damn ass all things considered. Buying full priced games on a device like this is just a very strange choice, especially when a console is just 500 bucks for what it offers. I don’t know, feels like something only kids playing on their parents’ phones would be actually excited about. Definitely not “the future” like some people try to say. If great mobile gaming at the moment comes down to something like a Steam Deck, which is as sizable as it is while providing a “decent” performance, I really doubt mobile gaming will ever be a genuinely “viable” market.

This. The handheld dedicated gaming market is booming right now and shedding market share away from the mobile gaming market. Gone are the days where the peak of mobile gaming are crappy 2d gacha games like angry birds and candy crush, whilst dedicated handhelds with proper 3d power were either niche like Sony's PSP and Vita or locked behing a Nintendo paywall. 3d mobile games ruled the roost but they were still vastly limited in capabilities, even Infinity Blade, nowhere near proper console gaming or the Switch. Fortnite came along with a mobile version and we saw loads of mobile competition from that from console gaming developers, and now PC gaming on the go is where the money is. Zero advert spam, zero mobile gacha pay to win trash, just pure gaming experiences on the palm of your hands. Steam games and console emulation, whilst running full PC operating systems as well.

its a really good idea because smart phone screens are so small you cant notice the imperfections in the quality, really hides those details or lack thereof. I would never be able to play a Triple A game dipping under 30fps. Especially not on the go. But there is definitely a market for this and it'll potentially be huge as more and more iPhone iterations come out. Its probably apples way of convincing developers to make games for Metal so that they come to Mac as well.

Apple mobile chips have always been revolutionary and has been destroying android chips for years. Apple build their own chip and specifically create it for their own designed devices in mind. They get to fully optimize their chips for their hardware running their software. Android companies can’t do neither.

Ok im an iPhone fan but hear me out. First when they announced that this game was coming to iphone 15 pro , i figured they did on of two things : 1.the game would be on super low resolution like barely making it to 420p and would be locked on 30 fps. 2.they really created the most powerful chip for the iPhone 15 pro so it could run this game like modern pc. The game is here and it seems like the second option was the case, or was it? If you compare iphone 15 pro and last year androids on "mobile games" you will see that they perform the same and some times android comes on top . What i understand from this , is the fact that yes , android can run this game like iPhone or even better . The only reason you are not playing it , is the fact that apple has bought the license of this game , you know paying a lot of money to the developers to own the game. Android can and will run the game only if the games company publishes the game on androids or a company like Samsung buys the license like iPhone My guess is Samsung and apple will fight over these games and each buy a diffrent game's license considering the game's popularity
