‘Future of this nation’: Pauline Hanson slams Greens ‘ratbag’ environmental policies

One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says the “future of this nation” under the Greens proposed policies “will not work whatsoever”.
“People have been misled and lied to what the Greens actually stand for, they are not looking after the environment,” she told Sky News host Steve Price.
“They are a bunch of ratbags that have no idea … about the environment … people need to look at what their policies are.”

The Greens used to care (or said they did) about the environment, about old growth forests, about reforestation. Now, so long as you can say "renewables" and "netzero" it doesn't matter how much forest is cut down, or how many endangered animals are displaced, just throw away all that money, put those wind factories everywhere that has good vegetation, and drape a trillion dollars worth of unnecessary transmission lines everywhere. @Chrisplumbgas Green energy is not efficient enough at present and needs coal and gas to back it up. Solar panels take an enormous amount of coal and deisal to mine, produce and transport as do wind turbines, not to mention the amount of destruction caused to the flora and fauna, habitat. Green energy has a role to play in Australia as do coal,gas and nuclear. The government forcing the population via unfounded fear is not a good sign for society.

The main issue is the colossal waste of money and resources on uneconomical and unreliable renewable energy projects. The largely useless renewable energy equipment will soon end up in landfill, however, the government debts incurred by subsidising this nonsense will take generations to pay off. We need to withdraw from the ridiculous Paris Accord forthwith and simply use the most economical energy resources available.

If I remember correctly Maryborough(QLD) in ~2003 had the highest unemployment rate of anywhere in Australia! It was a town predominantly made up of the aged population or welfare recipients. Multiple shop owners used to close on a Thursday because they couldn’t be bothered with the theft or hassles of unemployed individuals on “dole day”. Nonetheless, I hope it has improved since then. It’s actually a beautiful town.

So many people think renewables are going to save the environment. The scale our government wants to build renewables will destroy so much of our environment from land clearing, mining for resources needed for these projects and the dumping of these structures once they stop being able to be used. Wind turbines only last 20 years. The cost for such a short time is ludicrous, not to mention It’s a “green lobbyist situation.” I was reading how in Japan, they recycle the nuclear waste as fuel to create more clean energy and it reduces the length of how long the waste remains radioactive and needs to be in storage. Why are we not taking seriously nuclear options when the rest of the world knows how good it is.
