I think it is entirely possible that Orweyna is a sort of rebel mirror opposite of the "normal" haranir culture......and that therefore we should leave open the possibility that most of the haranir are villains; working on behalf of Cosmic Team Life. By rebel mirror opposite.....I just mean that she is treated in the questline as if she is acting against the normal culture by having any contact with mortal civilizations, or offering any help for the world soul at all. One of the other haranir in some of the side quests there even says outright that they are not supposed to be helping the world soul at all, and only helping the roots. And I think that the villain haranir are shapeshifter spies on behalf of Cosmic Team Life.... almost an equal and opposite situation as the nathrezim were shapeshifting spies on behalf of Cosmic Team Death. I also think that the "Primal Predators" worldsoul memory event which you can complete with a radiant echo from a bountiful delve is evidence that Cosmic Team Life was interfering with Azeroth way back before the black empire, by making giant dinosaurs and large wild animals before the Void arrived. I would not be surprised if Cosmic Team Life was trying to dominate and convert the World Soul long ago, and they were delayed in doing this by the arrival of Void...where any confrontation between Life and Void may have resulted in the Old Gods. Further, that when the Titans arrived and put a stop to the Old Gods.....I think Cosmic Team Life hid their plot and downplayed their involvement to the Titans....pretending to work with the Titans but actually just biding their time for the Titans to leave. Then Cosmic Team Life would start back to work....tricking the Kaldorei to fulfill their goals of manifesting more World Trees on the planet. Locations that Cosmic Team Life could control. "The vassal of life disguises treachery, beware the eyes of green." -- Regardless of whether the part about eyes is literal, or a figure of speech referring to jealousy and envy; the haranir qualify for both. They both have green eyes, and also disguise their own treachery against the world soul.

my two theorys of the dream are; one that its not always been there and came into being as a sort of defence of azeroth as it was being eroded by the dark empire and the void, a way to preserve how it was "meant to be" and the reason the nightmare was needed to be a thing to corrupt azeroth is ebcause the dream was such a perfect defence almost completely un touchable. that it its the power of azeroth in its purest essence as the "prime world soul" and was always there just slowly growing, similar to lovecrafts Azathoth dreaming all existence into being and if it ever wake all will end, not just the name is similar I feel, so when azeroth wakes up finally the dream will flow out and effect the universe. would make the titans pouring order magic into the worlds soul more sinister and a threat to the universe as a weapon of mass order, could also be why other powers are tyring to flood the world soul with their respective magics. could be a bit of both

I know that Nobbel was just kind of summarizing and giving voice to some of the fans who keep mentioning the botani from the mag'har scenario. But to respond to them, I have to keep saying that the haranir and the roots down there are far far far far far far far far older than any mag'har scenario; they cannot be "the source" of any of that. At best, we could say that the botani on Draenor were caused by Cosmic Team Life, and the haranir/elun'ahir were caused by Cosmic Team Life.....but neither one of those results caused each other.

Harronir : Elvish “Har- or Harr-“ suffix usually means strong connection with earth, “-ir” prefix generally refers to ancient or nobel (no pun intended 😂) people. Which actually means these are the ancient trolls and missing link; with limitless possibilities, connection to emerald dram, OG druids,etc.

The Lifelands would indeed be an interessting setting. I fear that it would be to big a topic, to "waste" simply on patch content. The book from the dragon who describes these lands shows that the lands are big and vast (which is quite logical since they mirror uncountable planets). So, how would you design a zone that represents that? I get Nazjatar vibes here, where a single City was not represented enough by a single zone. So yeah, I love the idea and the connections you draw of how to end up there: this is fantastic. But please, not wasted on a single patch zone. :D

The Haranir look like a missing link between trolls and night elves, but I don't think that's the case. I think they're an evolutionary offshoot, similar to the Drust who evolved from Vrykul, but didn't become humans. The Kaldorei were transformed by the Well of Eternity, adopting more Titan- related traits, but kept their connection to Life they had as Dark Trolls. The Haranir also evolded from trolls. Their fangs and accents are an obvious hint. However, these trolls migrated underground, drawn there by the roots of Elun'ahir. Most likely as a result of living underground for millennia, and the roots themselves, they gained more beastial traits, like fur, large ears, night- vision, and clawed feet. I'm looking forward to learning more about them.

Haha less than 24 hours later, 11.0.5 hits the PTR. It’s almost T&E levels of unfortunate timing with a video that was just uploaded almost immediately going out of date. There are conversations discovered in Dornogol that give us a pretty clear roadmap of the next patch. The Goblins and Harrowfall Arathi are inexplicably drawn to an “unsettling” island out in the undersea. There’s another crystal on this island, and some sort of aura surrounds the island that made the Goblins that discovered it disinclined to make landfall and retreat back to Dornogal to report this discovery. Some of the Arathi have had visions of this island and crystal, akin to the radiant song. They’re getting an airship fleet ready to go find this island and this mysterious crystal that is whispering to them. Giant crystal on an island in the middle of the undersea that (speculating) is connected to Beledar in some way. Perhaps the crystal broke into pieces when it was lodged into Azeroth’s crust. Or it’s a second crystal, a sibling of Beledar so to speak. Maybe it’s where the mysterious 5th old god once had dominion. 11.1 is probably where the seeds for a conflict with the empire are planted. I imagine that if we (as in player character and the Horde and Alliance) win the race to claim this crystal, it would sour relations between us and the Arathi, and go against the prophecy their emperor had.

Awesome videos, I have a small question not related. What do you think about the possibility of playing as “mercenaries” like playing as a human not affiliated to the alliance or an orc not to the horde? Would it be cool to have like a different faction? Since Warcraft III you can play with “neutral” heroes, and would give more freedom to the RPG.

I have mixed feelings about the Life/Elune lore, on the one hand I love their subtle impact on the story and world building but on the other it's frustrating they are almost always swept under the rug to give a palce Void Light or Order stories to shine

One way that your frustration could be used to make the story interesting...... is to suggest that Cosmic Team Life is purposefully trying to keep a low profile, to hide itself and diminish how the other cosmic forces notice their villainous ways. It is entirely possible that Cosmic Team Life deceived us back in dragonflight and they were a plot to get a World Tree manifested from the emerald dream into our world and steal the dragons back from the Titan keepers. As such, since the "empowering" of the dragons at the end of the Amirdrassil raid took place not just in the emerald dream, but inside a dimensional pocket inside that emerald dream as well.... in other words; double deep into Cosmic Team Life territory.....then that means the world soul inside Azeroth could not possibly have done it, nor did the titans. Those dragons got empowered and mind controlled by Cosmic Team Life. This also means Cosmic Team Life probably got to the planet Azeroth "before" the Old Gods, and therefore 'before' the black empire as well. When we do those radiant echo events in war within, using the object from bountiful delves as a currency to activate one......those are old memories of the world soul inside Azeroth. And one of those radiant echo events is labeled "Primal Predators". I think that memory may be the oldest one of all those eight for the achievement. The dialogue text for that primal predators event suggests that all the giant dinosaurs and animals and otherwise wild living things were not the intended plan by the Azeroth world soul....instead those were a bit of risky chaos, a mistake, an interference. I think they were an interference by Cosmic Team Life trying to assert their dominance over the planet; and they were probably trying to claim the world soul for themselves. But then the void arrived, and interfered with Life's interference. And when the Titans arrived, they interfered with the Old Gods who were interfering with Cosmic Life, who was interfering with the world soul. Essentially they had an entire scam going on of blocking the blocking of the blocking of the downfall of the world soul. And that leads to Orweyna.... who, by the way, is violating the normal activity of her haranir culture. Whatever friendliness or cooperation we think we see from her means that her culture is not that; her culture would not allow that help, would not allow that cooperation, would not help the world soul. They would only help their roots that are trying to enslave the world soul.

It amuses me that both in the real world and in fiction the moon is so often seen as slumbering during the day as if it were directly opposite the sun. I'm just imagining a Night Elf explaining that they believe Elune slumbers within the Well of Eternity during the day, while the moon is literally visible in the sky behind them, because the moon can absolutely be out during the day.

"lifelands" suggests to be an opposite to "shadowlands", but dear mr nobbel, i hope u know the shadowlands are NOT the realm of death itself but just an artificial pocket dimension -- as the cosmic chart clearly depicts as two separate things, how people could take them, or the dream&realm of life as one thing, is beyond me EDIT: people react as if this ingame book is completely new revelations -- if u read and listened to the lore in game until now, u already thought about everything that is stated in that book. therefoe, i am baffled that the king of lore itself seems to take this as new stuff

Elves ARE weeker trolls and where slaves of the first Trolls, because they found the well of eternety and lived there. Theyve changed over years because of the arcane influences. To have loas that don't help them or trolls as 'Gods' would be the same if you make the tormentor of your family a god. :) Not great I guess so your imagination looks for other... Beings they help you. And maybe some others answers. Beside that Fakt some loas have other names and are just wild gods and vise versa. Like Shirvalla for example or our new Owlfriend Loa of Change :)

Or maybe you are correct and we get into those proto troll/elves we have seen. For the overal story i still think its: this expansion we fight big dragon guy from last expansion ( or maybe saved for next one). but we loose Next expansion its the void invasion of azozorth, sunwell being the last line of defense/last hope not to let azoroth itself fall to the void. Arathi arive ( or we go there). But turns out both void and light are equal bad. last expansion. we team up with azoroth who is corrupted ( like us) by all things ( void, light, fel, order, death, life etc etc) and we team up against both parties.

I was thinking the same thing, with a raid being inside of Beledar. I was curious of Shadowflame from Abberus would interact with the Sacred Flame of the Arathi. My prediction was for a deeprun tram type thing to be built between Mmarl and the Zaralek Caverns, and for megadungeon to be Return to Aberrus, to investigate that giant void rift in the bottom of Abberus. M+ season would be 4 unused ones from TWW, + Neltharus, Stormstout Brewery, Seat of the Triumvirate, & Ahn'Kahet, the Old Kingdom. I also thought of a lore summary and boss fight mechs summaries. I think putting those in here would be too long though.

damn why is it so difficult for people to "read" a map 😫 ... those flowy "bands" on the cosmic chart, do u really think blizz put em there just to be artsy? especially as they go in a very specific way _across_ over/under/around the forces in not the same wa? They have MEANING, at least the one that goes round the whole chart is a VEIL, separating reality and those forces' realms -- the titans are the materialization of order in our reality, so OUR pantheon but not the rulers of order itself --- --- same for the eternal ones who are in the shadowlands, which is an "ordered" pocket dimension of death, we know everything there is fabricated and not natural, the maw is how the place existed beforehand which is now starved of anima and bleak cuz this big siphon Oribos was created to divert the anima; they are OUR pantheon of death but not the rulers inside of the realm of death --- so if u talk about the REALM of life, beyond the veil, a plane of existence like we were never in before, then we have NO indication that this realm has a "pantheon" because we also know _nothing_ about whats going on in the realm of order, or the realm of death. all we have ever seen is what is INSIDE our side of this "barrier" on the cosmological map
