You really can't change anything about them other than looks and that sucks. I get not being able to change the race because of the specific transformations, but not being able to change your character's gender when other Dragon Ball games with custom characters have had that. I know the combos change, but I feel like that should actually be a point in favor of it being a feature.

I think the main problem at this point is how long the game has been alive for. They probably already know that Xenoverse 2 is coming to it's end and that's why they will just squeeze out the final DLC chapters to somehow get some more money out of it. Which will likely be the case because most people will just eat it up if I'm being honest.

With all the language used from the devs talking about "taking Xenoverse to a new era" I had really hoped we would finally start seeing some of these QoL additions/updates that I've been waiting on since day 1 Like why tf have we never recieved new hairstyles? Why can we still not change our base form aura? Why can't we change our idle fighting stance? Why can't we equip multiple accessories when this is a thing in The Breakers? Spiky SSJ hair? Moving Saiyan tails? The list goes on and on, but I guess adding blips on the conton city map was more important than literally any of that... 8 damn years into the game... shits lame

Xenoverse could have been so cool if it went more into what Dragon Ball Online was. That game had the best world building in the series since OG Dragon Ball-Frieza saga. It was the most developed version of the world and EVERYONE aside from Goku and Vegeta actually did something beyond falling to obscurity as a side character. Krillin and Tien became the new turtle and crane hermits. Pan started a fighting dojo Gohan wrote a book on ki causing everyone on earth to become interested in martial arts Goten and Trunks started a sword fighting school. Buu started a whole new race of Majins. So much more happened and it was the perfect setup for Xenoverse because Xenoverse is the sequel to that game. Xeno Trunks first appeared in that game alongside Towa and Mira. Instead we get lazy rehashes of the main story but this time someone has red eyes and the timeline is only slightly changed. They don’t do any interesting what if stories once you get to the Buu saga because so little things happen of any real consequence.

I wish I could play the revamped version of XV2! But I don’t have a PC. And even if I did, I’m worried about downloading viruses from trying to download XV2 Revamped! This is why I envy modders! They get all the fun, and the rest of us have to wait until a next update and hope Dimps gives us unique characters! This is why I was super disappointed with the recent DLC! While others who play the regular games are stuck playing with Daima Goku and Belmod! And DON’T get me started on USV Jiren! Talk about waisted potential. If Dimps really wanted to make the future saga better, then just give us characters we ACTUALLY freaking want! Like Wrathful Broly with Ssj awoken skill, Majin Android 21, Bergamo, Super Android 13, Ssj Rage Trunks and even Base Toppo could be cool to see! And also, how about some new giant raid bosses! Like maybe Hirudegarn or Anilaza! ALSO, there are maybe missing stages we haven’t seen in the game yet! Beerus’s world, Clean T.O.P arena, Destroyed T.O.P arena, Arctic wasteland, Zeno Expo arena, and maybe even King Kai’s planet! And last but definitely not least, how about some legit new awoken skills! We want Ssj4, Orange Namakian and maybe even a G.O.D mode like Toppo has! See?! there’s so much Dimps could give us but won’t because there too busy recycling old characters and saying there new! If they’re going to do that, how about giving them some legit awesome moves! They better be focusing more on XV3 if their recent DLC’s are sucking this much! 😡

Hirano’s run was overrated, and i feel people priorities in terms of what they want in this game is misconstrued. At this current moment we have never had more customization with our characters than we ever had, Hirano through his entire run on this game he never considered to put color customizable outfits in the game. We didn’t have that until the recent developers of xenoverse 2. What i feel is that people focused too much on wanting cast characters in the game and left customization to the side. FOCUSING ON CAST IS WHAT KILLED THIS GAMES POTENTIAL. Xenoverse is a character customizable game, and you should only focus on the outfits and customization. Not pump out updates that nobody cares about. I remember since the launch of this game, people begged for hits outfit. 8 years later they have yet to add his outfit to the game. Not to mention the most blasphemous part is that WE DONT HAVE NEW HAIRSTYLES💀 (fwi wigs are not hairstyles.)

The star coin stuff was honestly something I hated, especially after knowing friend of mine lost their ps plus subscription and couldn’t get the custom outfit he wanted. I also remember grinding my butt off for the custom Beerus clothes for my CaC. I’m also not a fan of the whole STP shop and how a bunch of custom outfits(pretty cool ones like Bardock, Trunks, or Vegito clothes which I just saw) are locked behind an online-exclusive paywall. So if I’m offline and want to get custom bardock clothes, I can’t. Also I was wondering where belmod's playing card move from the manga was right after learning from this video that Champa's ultimate was from the manga. It’s really a horrible time as a console player. I never do this with my games, but I might have to get xenoverse on pc for the revamp mod now

The whole thing of content being restricted to online isn’t a problem from the game developer. That’s a problem that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo created. Also those outfits aren’t locked behind a paywall. You can buy them with regular TP medals. Pretty sure the only things I’ve seen fully locked behind the STP Medal paywall were certain artworks, the auras, the customizable Bandages the Mummy outfit, and (the weirdest one that shouldn’t have been locked behind a paywall) the Belmod wig & nose accessory.

So about the thing why Bandai would invest less money into Xenoverse is actually rather logical. Xenoverse is essentially 10 year plus years old so by this point it’s financially a bad idea to invest much money into the game now since the idea of getting a whole bunch of new players has passed and all the player remaining are one who would still play the game without incentive. Basically they aren’t getting much new money so they only budget what they can expect to get back. But they most likely investing less because the group aren’t making characters to market new products really instead they are just doing their own thing which is pointless to not only bamco but also Toei, so of course they aren’t going to give them much money for that. Oh and can we get Majin and Nameks to have race exclusive skills like magic now? And new transformations

Even tho I only started playing this game since late 2022, I still see many problems and utter lack of quality of life changes/characters/awokens that people have been asking for, for literal YEEEEAAARS! Nowadays, this is more apparent than ever. And if there is anything that people have been saying about it, is that Revamp MOD is exactly what it COULD be (mostly) and its exactly the reason why many port over to PC and have fun in there thanks to delightful modders, giving people what they want. I think another thing to consider about the first producer is this: In dlc 9/ultra pack 1, the game was a little over 2 years old. In the free update for that dlc, every cast character got massively buffed, and almost every skill got changed. You think online is a cac fest now? Try playing when the game first came out. You were either kaioken Goku, awoken hit, or you were boderline unplayable. Ever since dlc 9, we haven’t gotten any balance updates to that same degree, and heck, no meaningful balance updates as a whole. The game’s meta has been the same since dlc 20, which was when they added god fist on knockback. If any of the other producer eras had something on that level to shake up the game in any way shape or form, I’d be happier

The Gammas and Beast Gohan are some of the most visually pleasing DLC characters even to this day and their skills are nothing short of amazing. The only one who got the short end of the stick were the Piccolos but even then, Orange Piccolo was passable at best.

Idk how online play works for other systems, but paying 16-20 bucks a month for game pass is insane. That on top of how tedious in game grinding is. It pushed players to just buy tp/stp medals, which most people can't just do consistently. With the lvl cap increasing pretty much every free update now, lvling up needs to be more accessible for ftp players. I could say a lot more, but these things here shouldn't be a problem in the first place.

I can understand and respect your opinion for the Future Saga DLC and how Producer Song's work is getting in Xenoverse 2. But If i'm perfectly honest, Chapter 2 of the Future Saga is great and was definitely worth the wait for me. But If by any chance Song was redeemed and were able to get his work on the line like with the free update and introducing the Festival of Universes, thing's would have been different. Also, Chapter 3 could take a proper approach when at the end of the trailer where Conton City was destroyed. Who knows what could happen next, maybe we can get playable DLC characters that have very unique and inspiring character animations instead of pasting existing animations from different characters.

There are many things I don't like how the game is now. One of those examples being the level cap which is even more crazy than 120 or 140's level cap update, I prefer if level 140 was the last level cap up. Not to mention if you just played this game after the new level cap updates your kinda screwed since there is so much content that beginner players might not handle. A miner nitpick I have is the AI itself. For some reason they decided to make them occasionally lock onto you (unless you never lock onto them or if your the last one standing), I don't like this change especially since they screw up the Expert Mission AI where for some reason when they are SUPPOSED to do they're raid boss attacks they just... don't for some reason which is odd. They should do it when they reach a certain amount of HP to trigger them to do that said boss skill. Also the panther AI still sucks And most importantly, the lack of unique skills and animations for some of the recent DLC characters as well as not getting more custom partners. Because there are some characters that NEED a custom panther like Teen Gohan, Super 17, Mira, UI Goku, and many other characters that feel underwhelming. But yeah I may still play XV2 to this day, but man this game is slowly going downhill in terms of the lack of quality of the recent DLCs and lack of free content from updates. "XV2 IS COOKING!" Yeah right they are, cooking nothing T_T

I still enjoyed the DLCs. In my opinion, a character doesn’t necessarily need all new animations and an entirely new skillset. They just need to play differently. I don’t mean adding a special mechanic to the character. I mean when I press the inputs, do the combos feel the same as other characters or does it feel like I can’t play this character just like the other. When I first saw DBS Base Gohan, I hated him and felt ripped off. Then I played him and the reworked skills do so much for him that set him apart from the base game’s Adult Gohan. Most of us are simple people who just want characters that feel fun.

@ because people keep on praising Sparking Zero despite none of the characters having any actual variety in how they play. Outside of Hercule, you do the same exact general combo string on 90% of the cast with only a handful of supers/ultimates that actually function differently. Also not one dlc character plays exactly the same as a base game character. Even Base DBS Gohan plays differently with SOME similarities. Power Awakening Piccolo plays differently from Piccolo. SSBE Vegeta plays differently from the base game Vegetas. Name one DLC character (besides the preorder Goku Black) that has the exact same combo strings as a base game character and same exact skillset.

@Zeral__ All the characters you mentioned have the same moveset and techniques that are in the base game, the only difference is that they are a mix. Gohan beast for example, an excellent character, but his moveset is just a mix of baby, cell, goku UI, frost, etc... But he's still a good character. Even characters that had everything to be unique like Jiren or Goku MUI for example, have techniques that have been in the game since launch, this is the game's real problem. There are very few characters that are unique like Ribrianne or Android 21. But you do what you want with your money bro, it's up to you, but I, for example, still think it's wrong to make us pay for something that's already in the game. Of course, it's your money and you can spend it however you want

DLC 6 or the one with Infinite History will always be my favorite because it allowed us to play a whole story DLC with our Custom Mentors. It was so amazing! I loved all of the funny dialogue especially Hercule's and Jaco's. I wish Xenoverse 2 would do this again! It would be the best! I always tell Xenoverse fans if I only had one DLC it would be the Infinite History DLC.

Im gonna say it. belmod is worth 10 dollars. Just him jiren is not, but him and goku should cost 20 plus tax, so 21 dollars i dont see how the dlc is bad. Accept the fact it had less characters but the few characters they did made up for it with belmod and daima goku

Belmod and Daima Goku aren’t worth $10 each. I’d definitely say each character is worth maybe $5 with Jiren maybe being worth $3 since almost everything about him (while being reworked) is recycled. They’re all fun characters but $20 is not a good price. $10 i think was perfect for it.

Yk, this is the first time I've watched a video about this that even touches how stuff is locked online, sure yeah I get it's an online game at times and yeah multiplayer etc, but locking off entire costumes and accessories plus more to raids and other online only avenues is so stupid, especially given how small the playerbase is at 8 years after release and how bad the servers are at times, I tried a few online missions during the free weekend for psn a few days ago and I had to go to NA servers to find people, who had red connections, while I had blue, and it was a sweating moment as I hoped they didn't blip out since it would mean getting booted cos host died and then having to try again for hours. I'm not a fan of online services at all, but I fully understand you have to give people some reason to play raids etc online, I just wish they'd add a way to get things offline even if it's a super hard mission or hundreds of TP medals. As it stands I'd end up paying money for the dlcs only to see that 80% of the items I want are arbitrarily locked behind a raid that could take 6 years to come back, if the Wiki schedules are to be believed, that's fucked up, truly.

You’re… not paying for those rewards though. They’re completely free outside of having to pay for an online subscription but that’s on Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Everything the DLC includes that you pay for is accessible as soon as you hop on with the biggest inconvenience being that you have to play the missions to unlock outfits, super souls, and skills for your CaCs. All the event rewards are available without any DLC.

I will say that i definitely disagree with a lot stated in the video but the general premise and criticism of future saga i absolutely get behind because like, recent one was very lackluster for sure! But me personally I just think that all 3 producers had very big highs in some cases but extremely low lows but that's just the natural course for xenoverse 2 to me

I always use Flash Revive when I can especially on the raids. What I do when 4 out of 5 allies are down Flash Revive on the allies as fast as I can. When I run of health to finish Flash Reviving the rest I pop an All Energy Capsule Z. Then I flash Revive the rest. Then Pop a All Regen Capsule L for the teammates when the are back up. It really helps out especially when everyone is dead except for me and I come in clutch.

I think the story in the newest dlcs is far better than the story modes in previous dlcs (except for dlc 6) but even then i feels like they just took the story from xenoverse 3 and chopped it up for xv2 dlc

I only bought the Chapter 1 of future saga because in honor of toriyama...the Story was Cool but too easy same with the parellel quests which felt weird...i didn't buy Chapter 2 yet it's not worth 10 dollars...and we still didn't get ssj4 Goku Ultra Super Villain vs Golden Frieza or Skinny Buu... could of least gave us a Custom parallel maker like SDBH

I kept arguing with myself that the next set of dlc’s to use Sparking Zero for new characters as there a few what if characters that would work for the game AND would make sense such as Vegeta (Z Early) with super Saiyan hair or Gohan Black with a bonus of Fused Zamasu with Gohan’s hair instead. Along with that I had other ideas for the game such as new transformations (power awakening/orange piccolo, SSJR, SSJ4, Tufflin, absorption, and such) but instead it’s just “it’s jiern but now evil.”

Literally one bit of story with one mission, one lazy “character” and a cash-grab in the Daima characters (yes characters plural there’s probably going to be a vegeta and maybe if we’re lucky glorio and he’ll actually be new and very original) the future saga is DBH/SDBH with half the budget and way less cool things, XV2 is a very watered down heroes since Fu showed up (yes I know the entire thing is based off of dragon ball online but since heroes is what most people know that’s how we do things) it’s still stupid like, we don’t have the name change for SSB the name exist on a character skill (obviously blue kaioken) also not even the best custom things we ask for and no very interesting characters say like bergamo the last truly original character we got was Fu way back then. Back to name changes if goku black can do so can SSB bandai y’all did for SSR and nobody in the community or source material called it that I’d you want to market it sure but listen to us! Add the things the community actually wants like every outfit being customizable, manga content, the auras working better, the game giving us a real challenge like the FoU or Uub serious fights, the a new condensed story instead of 7 bot’s hanging around, rework specific things, make real gameplay changes or just a thought just putting it out there no need to rush throw one tiny idea on my end MAKE XENOVERSE 3 ALREADY!!! It’s been 8 god damn years now. If bandai doesn’t get their shit together and finally make a xenoverse 3 we can die happy, and actually have a game that’s not overhyping and or overstaying it’s overdue welcome. The main reason I go on about SSB name change is because it exist it’s a small change but huge in the grand scheme of things like think off all the blue characters and the actual transformation, instead of the gross long Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan or SSGSS make the name SSB and it makes things better and easier on everyone as a bunch of examples goku (SSB), vegeta (SSB and SSB evo), Gogeta and Vegito (SSB) and for the CaC their transformation would be Super Saiyan Blue and Blue Evolution respectively, plus it would fit in with the other super saiyan name like obviously SS1-3, FSS and SSG like Rosé got a name change from his disgusting long and redundant name of literally “Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black)” it proves that yes bandai can and will change a name if given enough backlash or jokes. I don’t want this game to last forever but these QoL changes would do small wonders building up to xenoverse 3, at the very most build the very best and greatest Xenoverse 2 before you end up like over games like this a corporate run shell of its formar glory. (Yes I know it’s kinda felt that way but future saga 1 was wicked and 3 looks nuts 4 is in the wings with whatever/wherever 3 ends, it can build to this insane cliffhanger climax of 4 that can lead seamlessly into Xenoverse 3.) so there’s my two cents on this game as a PS4 very early owner, I do love this game it’s fun with all the characters we do get especially ones that aren’t lacklustre it proves it can thrive with or without the BS of the future saga stuff but these are ultimate what ifs at the end of it all, not something we asked for but still a cool thing regardless.

@williehall4069 It's a licensing issue with Shuiesha, the company that owns distribution rights to the manga. They're very selective with what can be adapted. They're cool with skills, apparently, but full-on characters are a no-go until the manga arcs get animated.

While it is true that a lot of people forget that flash revive exists I find that many people don't actually know how to perform it. And if I remember correctly, there's not exactly a list of basic commands... ...and who in their right mind does SKOT's training in Xenoverse 2 after having played Xenoverse 1, maybe there's some hidden secret in there that I've completely missed.

People forget a LOT of gameplay elements in XV2. Flash revives, alternate combo routes, cancel combos, etc. then there’s the people who just flat out DON’T use certain mechanics they DO know. At this point I’m convinced 90% of the playerbase is just mashing buttons randomly when this is just not the game for that.

Well yeah. There’s not really anything the devs could add that beats Emperor’s Death Beam builds or Super Attack Spam builds. I think they’re trying to get more into PvP utility territory since most of the skills we’ve been getting in the FSC dlcs have been more focused on combo capability and in some cases neutral usability. I used Daima Goku’s Soaring Rush as a neutral tool and was clowning on a cheeser in PvP. I really hope we either get a netcode fix or XV3 confirmed after FSC4.

I agree, once I learned that Belmond had a new manga ultimate but not for xenoverse 2, i dropped this game. I think Daima Goku just from gameplay looks fine, sure if they "ever" update his character by extending his combos by giving him new end strings from the show(currently 9 episodes plus ssj) then that would be great. New jiren is lame. The first dlc is fine, i agree that android 13 and Bojack still need their super forms even if it's copy and paste, especially majin 21. I actually preferred xenoverse 2 version of the story more than the movie (if you include the parallel quest), but yeah, not having the main map for the story was dumb. I didn't really like goku and Vegeta vs beerus since it was already in Kakarot and doing dbz Broly movie should have been done way before this dlc, but the story with zamasu (Goku) Vegeta and universe 6 vs Goku black was awesome. The new story looked good, but the ending was rushed, maybe have it be Bergamo afterwards as a final boss including adding him as dlc.

I really feel like the story for this chapter was bad too like I’m glad they kinda showed how strong ur character is when they fought fu and jiren but the rest of it is bs how they made the story so much about goku when it didn’t have to be about goku also I feel like they should allow u to use the stp metals to change ur fighting style like if its character in the game who’s fighting style u like u should be able to pay for it (with to or stp) and put that fighting style on ur customer character that would be a good way to atleast kinda make them useful and add more to the game

So yeah its crazy i haven't played it in a long time so I didn't know what's changed one of things i think wanted was add more races like demon race hell supreme kai there a lot race that could be added to the game to make it more fun especially for new players or people return to play i don't do pvp of anything plus online stuff is new to me
