I think masks have a lot of room for new tech. If a company like DJI or GoPro collabed with a mask maker to embed a go pro or action cam into the mask it would be an awesome buy, or even comm's a small mic and speaker setup that bluetooth to other masks for team communication would be super cool too.

I had a Dye Matrix just like that but with the Punisher skull on top. It shot like a champ.

I think we’ll see incremental weight/size reduction overall and better air efficiency. More innovation on markers with integrated loaders like the empire dfender would be cool to see.

thin wall stainless steel tubing for the body surrounding the drive train could allow for a body not much bigger in diameter than the paintball itself

I feel the paint in early 2000's was amazing and the guns didn't shoot that great. Good but not ideal. The guns now have become so great but the quality of paint has decreased.

The tech hasn't really improved in the last 15+ years. Comparing Bob Long Victory to the newest markers today. Only a few convenience features around being tool-less. The loaders are also slower and don't have rip drives.

Ray bans don't have hud displays . Not yet at least. Only camera/mic/speakers.

Empire did have an EVS goggle model with HUD. To my memory it was like $500 and made zero traction with consumers

Hopper and neck haven't become much more sleek. Hoppers and markers need to be able to interface with a standard feed neck currently but feeding systems integral to the markers would make the whole package more compact.

VR headsets, realistic multilevel maps, 100 v 100 games. The NPPL/PSP boomers will have something to do in the future when they physically cant play 100s of hours a month year round. Oh wait, not many people can play 100s of hours year round now.

Automated hpr that connects to sensor in front of marker and auto adjust based on live fps. With and auto/ manual switch so you can shoot 10 balls to get it set in auot then switch to manual to lock it in while u play

With VR and AI goggles will become more advanced, as well as boards programming. Removing tanks from Paintball would be a horrible decision.. Let’s see where things go..

@iHasCaek any idea where I can get one for a modern maker? One place says they make a drop forward for planet guns but it's been out of stock since I bought my 170R. Been checking ebay periodically too.

paintball tech hasn't advanced since 2008, its all just buzzwords, my etek2 (2007) and my lv2 (2024) are not that different from each other from an outsiders perspective.
