@Asset Yogi : 1) In Index Fund, do we have monthly compounding or yearly compounding? 2) Also it's not necessary that we will get always positive returns,what in case of negative returns? Have you considered CAGR in case of returns while calculation. Please explain ☺️

Index funds or, to my knowledge most investment options dont have any inbuilt compounding concept (except fixed deposits). Compounding comes into picture with the way you calculate the appreciated values. CAGR just considers the starting and ending values. Its like if you get 10% cagr on some start n end values, it means you will get the same end value if you invest the start value in a fixed deposit that gives you 10% interest (same 10% here also). It helps you compare you returns to fixed deposit rates. CAGR is for single investment amount and single withdrawal amount. So i suggest you to get used to XIRR calculations which works on same concept but you can mention multiple installments and/or multiple partial withdrawals, if any. Both CAGR and XIRR calculators are available from google search, maybe there are mobile apps for it, not sure though. Am i clear ?

Max and safe returns ppf me milenga 1 lkh se agar 15 yrs ke bad every 5 yr renew kiya and at age of 18 bhara toh 60 yrs pe 15 lks milenge if 6.5 percent returns pakda toh bhi present rate 7.1 hai jiss se 17 lks milenga Nps me iss se bhi jyada milenga returns 8 to 9 percent hota hai soo 27 to 32 ke bech me returns milenga if u pay at age of 18

After 36 yrs inflation rate may be 7 to 8 percentage. So this 2 crore will have value of 25 lakh at that time. ( your return percentage is 15 but this is less chance return percentage may be at 10 to 12 percentage )
