I really appreciate how much he does not default to overhyping stuff...I think we're so used to enthusiasm that feels forced that it's a refreshing break in expectation to have someone not try to convey forced positivity. You're just getting what you're going to get, even if it is disappointing...and if he does get excited, you can sense he had good reason to be impressed so it's worth paying attention to. And in the interim, he is so good in self roasting and roasting, so it is entertaining. I really appreciate how he sounds so ironic when he does say anything that does sound like trite positivity except when he does say something that could be trite but seems to mean it sincerely...and then it's sweet of him!

@NonsensicalSpudz about that there's nothing much we can do apart from explaining to people how it should be done. Usually I find myself arguing in the comments on ig because they just don't get the importance of typical dishes. Once I saw someone put cheddar on parmesan and the comments were all "there's not a right way to do it" "everyone can do it how they want to" and I realized that people all over the world eat a fake version of what I eat daily. I love my nonna's food, I love eating and I want to make others feel the happiness of it. It's amazing how old foods can be reused and make a traditional helathy dish out of nowhere

There’s a bakery called pompadour here in Japan and since these kinds of filled croissants were trending they made some and they were not only delicious (strawberry and chocolate flavours) flakey and made fresh they’re only like 2$ each lmao

Holy shit, your all'antico vinaio is expensive. I live in Florence and can attest to its quality and popularity, it's got two locations in the same street, which both always have huge queues, but they've got the production down so good you're only waiting 10 minutes tops. One of the reasons it is so popular though is that the sandwiches are huge and only cost €6-9. Paying $20 for a sandwich is nuts, especially when you can just get two dollar slices and just put them on top of each other!

Mamouns Falafel in Marks Place in the East Village is really great. When I lived in NYC I used to eat there all of the time. The portions are big and prices are fare. I loved the falafel
