What happens when the trucks are taking away the Material faster than the digger can load the hopper, the trucks then have to wait the same as it the digger was loading them direct, don’t see the point of all the extra expense of the hopper.

equipment can be "bought on finance" it's the wage bill that sticks in every employer's throat.

Hi, The design is such that the surge loader holds a minimum of 2 x truck loads. It will normally take the digger at least 3 minutes to load a truck in the conventional way, the surge loader can load a 400 Tonne truck in less than 60 seconds. It also allows the digger to continually load the hopper with or without trucks present.

This is a game changer for the surface mining operations, reminds be of the CM-shuttle car system in an underground coal mining operation.
