Futurism │OVERVIEW

The “Manifesto of Futurism” by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti was published on the front page of the French newspaper Le Figaro on February 20, 1909. Starting from a group of poets, futurism quickly spread to other fields of art. Its call for abandoning the past and embracing the future echoes to this day. This video focuses on the main characteristics of futurism in the visual arts.

Marinetti later advocated for work for woman too, he meant more scorn for typical feminine traits, that are against patriotism and militarism that are praised earlier in the manifesto
