I love that they found this gnome so much. Every time it see it, it reminds me of one of my favorite achievements in my entire life of gaming. The gnome comes from HL 2 episode 2, and there’s an achievement where you find the gnome early in the game, and have to spend the entire game carrying it with you until you can put it in a rocket going to space in order to trigger the achievement. Takes playing the entire game carrying this thing (using gravity gun + gnome = mayhem). It was one of those truly unique achievements and game challenges you don’t find often in a game that actually adds a fun twist to normal gameplay other than “do this x number of times” or “reach level x” or “rizz 3 times”. It’s a silly thing, really, but now I’m so nostalgic for that achievement I might dust off my copy of the orange box and do it again. Maybe I’ll make it a trend to do it once every 15 years? Grandkids will watch me do it and not understand, but I’ll be “back in my day this was REAL gaming”. 👴🏻
