I was born in 71. My uncle left his ZZ Top GH album at our house. I wore the grooves off that album. I spent hours air-guitaring in my room to Just Got Paid. That album brings back such great memories.

I really miss the days when my friends would go to the mall and buy records then go back to one of the parent's houses and just 'listen'. No drugs, no booze. Just Pepsi, Doritos and laying on the floor. Thanks for this. Never heard of Thee Oh Sees before.

My favorite off Paranoid is Planet Caravan. I had a similar experience with my Dad and my early introduction to music…the first music I remember hearing was in my parents’ living room; I remember sitting on the floor as he put his Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album.è on. Hearing that intro in to Breathe definitely had an impact on me. He also introduced me to ZZ Top (Tres Hombres) and The Allman Brothers’ Brothers and Sisters. I remember hearing The Beatles Let It Be around this time as well. The album cover for The Beatles is the first album cover I can remember holding in my hand and being fascinated by. The first cassette tape I bought of my own was Aerosmith’s Greatest Hits, the one from the 80s with the red and white cover."

Wow Jason, Paranoid was the first LP I got. My sister is 14 years older than me (I was a mistake!) when she got married in '79 her husband had some of the same lps in his record collection so she gave me Paranoid and Deep Purple In Rock. I used to look at that picture in the gatefold LP sleeve and think how cool the Sabs looked!

Fanastic video, Jason. Thank you. I'm always really curious to do a deep dive into people's musica histories. Paranoid was the first Sabbath album I had ever heard. I'd been a huge Metallica fant, but Sabbath really connected with me. So many great songs on that album. I fluctuate between Hand of Doom, War Pigs, Ferries... and even Rat Salad being my favorites. "Tres Hombres" by ZZ Top is incredible. I saw The Mothers album "We're Only In it for the Money" on your wall. That is an incredible album. What is your favorite Zappa album? Frank Zappa is one of my all time favorites for sure. Keep Rocking, Jason. I appreciate your content.

I cut my teeth playing the blues. Love playing Hooker. He’s a lot of fun. Howlin wolf, Sister Rosetta Thorpe, Johnson, Son House all them guys. I could list so many. Blues have had impact on my musical journey big time. It’s all relatable. The music from the 30s and 40s ring out true today. Big Bill Broonzy, get back seems to ring out true even today. Anyways thank you for this video I have downloaded many of the albums you have shown. I can’t find Slowmaddox maybe I’m spelling it wrong. I tried google and to no avail. I will be ordering one of your pedals very soon. Anyways thank you for this I love it!

You have excellent taste. I think everyone should take a spin with John Lee hooker! The rituals with vinyl can take us back to a forgotten time when we could slow down and take it all in, look at the cover art and insets. My introduction to Sabbath came to me when I was 10 or 11 when I shoplifted their first 2 records on cassette from Clover. I was a little shit!

Fun video! Just one thing, why have you not upgraded you stereo system? It's like using one you great pedals with a small cheap practice amp haha Check out some vintage hi-fi stuff, one you hear your records on a good system you can not go back, it makes a huge difference.

Something about listening to LPs and tapes sounds way better than waves and mp3s....the artifacts are way different....and there isnt a tin can sound you get with compressed audio files....
