i love love love the fact that the hermits are becoming citizens of predetermined empires rather than emperors themselves, i feel like it just adds so much to the worldbuilding and it's just so fun to see the interactions between everyone! i've been so hyped waiting for the crossover and I am NOT disappointed! this is so cool

@@erenender66 I think it is both. The Hermits will build their own Empire right near spawn. But I also think the Hermits will be helping the different Empires do things that they aren't good at doing. I think it will be similar to the HCBBS from Season 7 where the Hermits swapped bases for a little bit.

Fun fact related to the tavern: Colorblind artists tend to be better at unique yet well-coordinated color schemes. No one can agree on why, but a great example would be Jacob Andrews. He's red/green blind but always uses these beautiful warm pallets and is incredible at pinks and reds especially.

Hey Fwip, its nice to be here since I'm mostly a hermit viewer. Just wanted to point out that for the bamboo farm you can make it totally lossless by planting the bamboo on mud and have the mud above the hoppers, then put the glass one block closer. Mud is like slime and honey in that it isnt a full block. This would help with both hopper lag and with item buildup lag, which with so many new friends could be useful.

Given that you’ve been planning this with grian, I hope the story goes something like: -Hermits serve under current empires rather than making their own empires (would reduce complexity and be fun to see more popular hermits following the instructions of less popular empires ytbers) -Empires are able to wage wars with other empires with multiple people on a side (Hermits fight alongside the empire they swore allegiance to). -Eventually there’s a hermit uprising because the empires are making them do too much work and that’s the lore reason for the hermits leaving. Right now, it’s hard to tell what you’ve got planned because we’ve only seen day 1 and I really don’t want it to turn into a mess. Hope it works out for everyone!

You ever notice how smoke billows from the lava? What if you could harness it and send some kind of Goblin contraptions into the sky above Gobland? You could build up some Goblin aircraft and maybe some rickety rope bridges between them, a sign of Goblin sanctuary for anyone who is looking AND it could give you minor cover against phantom spawns when you leave the cave.

14:40 I had no idea you were colourblind! The colours do work well together. The only one I would change is the backs of the trapdoor chairs around the central bar, I think warped signs to match the warped trapdoors of the seans would help the chairs stand out better against the background.

You make a good point that you can't tell if it's day or night down there. Now that you have an engineer moving in, you should try working on some kind of day/night cycle in you're base. My idea is holes in the roof of the cave (scattered like star light) that let's through light from a camp fire during the day and soul fire at night. It might not be a very noticeable different, but maybe you can just make a large clock or something that changes it's face at night. Something else that might help the look is making the ceiling of the cave sculk blocks (maybe mixed with some accents) to make it look darker in the cave, it is a little too bright for a cave.
