fWhip these episodes are too short for me. I was spoiled because I got introduced to your other hardcore world with your 4 hour mega compilation and could binge watch the whole thing. Kinda rough to go from that to being drip fed this mini episodes. ;P But it's so much fun to watch you in these earlier stages of the game. Because you don't just have all the building blocks but have to problem solve instead. I'm hyped for the next one!

Fwhip starter house = full on building with colour scheme, several rooms, separate storage area and quirky accent blocks. My starter house = sundown panic-built hole in the ground that I will stand in until I hear skelebobs dying in the sun because I spent all of day 1 running around looking for sheep and probably getting distracted by collecting an inventory full of decorative crap I won't need for at least several days.... 🤦🏻♀️🤣

For the villagers, I really liked the set up in Empires S1 where they could free roam but only in enclosed spaces! I think it would be an interesting challenge if all the buildings that aren't strictly *your* house had an inhabitant or two who were consistently in or around the build.

Why not both? Have a villager trading hall, or a set of forums (agriculture (farmers, shepherds etc), knowledge (librarians, cartographers), metalworking (smiths), crafts (leather workers, stone masons), where you can keep your important villagers, and have some free-roam spares and nitwits. That way, you have life in the village and quick trades if needed, and your important villagers are safe as well.
@RaccoonRecluse23 күн бұрын
So fun thing, Villagers once self assigned to a bed will go back to that same bed every night regardless of where they are in the village. If you set up their bed in their stall as the floor, and make a simple Redstone door that opens around just at or after noon and shuts when its dark, you can have high value traders return to their stalls every night and stay there for the first half of the day.

This, with enough lighting you don't need to worry about them having issues. I love building around a village, giving it walls and defenses like its age of empires.
@DeGraphicsStudios27 күн бұрын
If you do have the experimental villager trades enabled, that means in terms of enchantments you can get Feather Falling, Projectile Protection, Power and when you get them to master, you will get Unbreaking II. No mending unless you somehow get Swap Villagers, which considering you’re not allowed to leave the island, means getting mending will be a lot harder. Edit: If you do end up leaving the island you can trade with the cartographers to potentially get a map that will lead to a witches hut, but again, I don’t think you’ll do that considering the rules you set for yourself.
@nicolasspringer612826 күн бұрын
Loving the series so far. My thought on your villager trading set up: instead of a typical “trade hall”, what if you had little guild areas with 3-5 villagers per area all with the same job? And that could help with building and theming certain areas of the island as well. Whatever you do though is sure to be awesome, keep up the very inspiring builds 😊

Decor ideas: paintings and banners. Also, the chest you found was definitely part of the boat. Buried treasure doesn't have the coast trims as part of the loot table. It's not uncommon for ship wrecks to spawn-in with all the interior space filled with dirt, sand and even stone, but still have all the chests.

Might vary between bedrock and java, but I usually bring the zombies up the full 24 blocks for a fall, and then place a slab at the bottom to raise the floor by half. In Java especially, if done right, it can turn the spawner from an active exp farm, to a passive mob grinder if you need zombie flesh.
@TearsOfLa25 күн бұрын
You could combine it and have a free roaming trading "hall". like have a farmers market that is enclosed so they are trapped and safe, but they can wander around the stalls and you know that's where all your farmers are, create a smithing guild that has your armor and tool guys. A guard house that keeps all your weaponsmiths. Lets them walk around and add motion to the builds while still being ocnvenient.

Free roam villagers would make the island seem more alive. As for how to move villagers: - Have two of the same job block lets take lecterns for example. -Make a vill take the job, cycle through it untill you got what you want and lock their job in by trading. - Then you wanna make a hole/way out (maybe with a trapdoor or something) and use the job block to "lure" the villager to it's new home! This is how I've done it the last few times and it saved me the headache of having villagers escape or go places I didnt want them to go.

I'd like to see more free-range villagers but also keep them safe and contained. I know you can put sweet berry bushes 1 block deep in the ground and cover them with carpets and mobs can't pathfind over them. If you use moss carpets to blend with the grass you could make some neat "pens" for your villagers while having it still look free roam, hostile mob proof, and easily accessible. If you choose to do it that way though, you cant have any trapdoors above the moss/sweet berry bushes otherwise it breaks the broken pathfinding and allows them to roam free

For that upper ceiling area. I think half of it should be a hanging garden thing. While the other half should be a bunch of trap doors in a sort of visual attic thing, where you have a couple of chests to make it look like that's where you put your luggage after arriving so its out of the way. I think that would look interesting. I would like to see an actual hanging gardens in the future, maybe you can even make it a "flying" one like the version from Fate/Apocrypha
