@@AEAC Well I can sypathize with that as I was injured in Iraq years ago during the war and ended up having several back surgeries and still have issues to this day so I get it all to well. But it is good to see you back at it as I have always enjoyed your channel and learned a lot from it. Hope you didn't end up with to much damage after the hurricanes. I use to live in lake worth beach FLA so been through a few big hurricanes in my time as well as lived at the beahc on an island in North Carolina as well and hurricanes do suck for sure. Stay strong and stay safe down there my friend.

I shoot those Zan slugs from my Impact MK II and have for a couple years now. They shoot great from my 700mm 1:22 twist barrel liner, and they are the ONLY slugs I have used that actually expand properly on small game. I have quite a collection of them from woodchucks and raccoons and even a couple taken from a couple of old boar fox squirrels. I have tried a variety of slugs on game, but they all fail to expand or if they do, they don't expand properly (like FX Hybrids). It seem that FX isn't offering the 1:22 liner anymore? I can't find the 1:16 anywhere either in 700mm. Thanks for another great, and well detailed review!

Wish mine was as consistent in all the testing and shot strings over the chrony as the one they sent you. Did however end up putting in a Huma Reg which did tighten it some, and no Reg creep that I'm always getting with my other FX rifles with their AMP regs. Found it surprising that you were getting those speeds at that low of a reg setting and hammer adjustments. We've had to increase our regs 130-140 bar and hammer to almost full adjustments. We all know that no two rifles are the same. But seen other's in the same ball park on their rifles as mine. Its a lottery game to get one that is consistent and accurate. And noticed in the notes that you stated stock has to be removed to adjust regulator. There's other's who thought the same. No need to remove stock. Just remove the one cap head screw that holds trigger guard in place. Trigger guard lifts right up and out, and then you can adjust the reg. This is with the GRS stock. Another well done quality video.

Well, as ya saw in the video, I cleaned up my tune as received and worked to find the right ammo for the combo. That's all there was to it for me really... oh, and learn how to shoot it, lol... hold, grip, follow-through, etc.. Steve

I've always looked forward to your videos, and no disappointment with this one. I did notice when seating the projectile there seem to be a little extra push. I switched out all my magazine on the FX airguns to the STUD Mag Loader system. They just seem to line up the projectile a little better, and no damage to the pellet. Finally, have you tried the AEA pellets?

I was curious myself how the video would perform when I was working on it. Views and participation are great though. I think FX is #2 in the world right now after Umarex so they're about as "mass market" as it gets but I started on a new PCP from Diana Germany today. I haven't seen you do anything on "American Air Arms" they make all these other brands you've reviewed look like plastic toy gun's in comparison. Why not show some support for team "EVOL"? Made in the USA and is without question second to non in every way. The quality levels of the EVOL are off the charts and are actually worth the price of admission which can't be easily said about most airguns being reviewed in this price range.

Just a couple questions if you don't mind me asking them. I own an FX Panthera HC in .30cal. just wanted to know if this kit fits on my particular gun. For i know that they do fit the regular Panthera.. but id like to step it up a notch. Already have the folding stock adapter with Wilson combat rear stock, also have both bottom save a tactical real ARCA Swiss as well as top Sabre Tactical rail. (Both saber tactical) This particular rail only allows me to have or use a 300 CC bottle with it and would like to use a bigger bottle in the front. Again not sure if I need to make some sort of modification to cut out the front piece to put a larger bottle on the front or if I can get something more suitable for my needs without having to fabricate. Another thing I do have the 300cc bottle but it's rated at 250bar.. the gun also says on it that the max pressure is 250 bar. Was wondering if I could get a 300 Bar bottle and fill it to 300 bar? Without messing anything up as far as the internals. The barrel on my gun in 30 cal is 395 mm and I don't know what slug liner I should get for the heavy slug liner one to 1-16 twist rate. Id love to know what exact size FX heavy slug liner to get, as well as the 300bar fill on my new bottle. (Any Internal damage to gun) If filling that high? Also in doing all this will I need an heavy tungsten hammer, spring, & are probe kit? Thanks in advance -SS

I would double check with Utah Airguns or FX Airguns, but It's my understanding that the guns themselves can handle 300 bar but "250" is printed on the side of the gun due to the bottle limitations. Steve

Air rifles are advancing. AAA is the top company. F is going backwards. They’re slowing their FPS down to get accuracy because their liners are terrible. Aea Oregon’s now filter 7000 psi are regulated to 4500 psi and will take that 30 grain slug you’re shooting and push that 1300 FPS.

It’s not a myth that you get more accuracy. The faster you go with a slug. It is a fact which quality conventional rifle barrels. With the jump liners from F it’s the opposite. You have to shoot slow because they have a choke. Everybody knows that Steve, why are you trying to make it like that’s not a fact

@ well there would be your problems are Mac what does anybody there know about anything. Those are a bunch of guys who picked up an air rifle have done nothing to it and don’t know what to do to it to get him any more performance side of it. They pick up the gun they shoot of the competition and most of those guns can only shoot 950 FPS with slugs. Pellets are different . The problem is you have an experience or anything you’re in a small segment of corrupted salesmanship and that’s all that BS is

FX is also a lying company, I was disappointed in it. Every website says the fx drs is 119 joules with 700 barrels in 22 caliber. After the purchase, it turned out to be only 40-50 joules. They are lying about this matter, their weapons do not reach the energy level they promise

It's hard to understand how an experienced person like you advertises FX rifles, and worse, using pellets. When will people wake up and see that FX, despite having good disposable performance, only opens their eyes when they've already spent money buying a rifle with a crappy barrel that loses its point of impact overnight. It would be better if you made a video of a Vulcan 3 or Epic 2, which has an exceptional barrel and costs much less. Why use pellets? When you know that the best thing is slugs. But of course you spend a lot of money buying a rifle like that and then have to spend more on a liner to be able to shoot slugs. This is shameful.

I remember when i wanted one about 8 years ago lol. Seemed really sweet how far pellet guns have come but im glad i never bought one. I like the pellet guns that have a Break barrel. Id like to try one of those German springer pellet guns. Either a Beeman or the weihreich HW30s. Low powered Pellet gun but accurate as get out and it doesnt weigh 8lbs lol. Looks perfect. My next pellet gun will be a Hw30s and then maybe a beeman or a more powerful springer some day. Im glad i bypassed the PCP crap. Something pretty awesome about being able to just grab some pellets and go. Don't have to worry about running out of air.

@@threekblack217 it's crazy how accurate pellet guns are. Yeah i'll have a PCP airgun someday. But for now, I'm in a Traditional phase where I like things simple. I just ordered a HW95 in .22. Lol. I tried to do my best research and it seemed like a good pellet gun and doesn't look like things are getting any cheaper these days lol. I'm a Traditionalist at heart. I get more satisfaction trying to get closer to my game. Pellet rifles are perfect for 40,maybe 50 yards. Anything further than that, then yeah you better have a PCP. Most .22lr aren't even as accurate as some of these air rifles. These air rifles make .22lrs seem obsolete. .22 magnum still has its place though. I still love my .22lrs. I'm a .22lr guy. Just can't get on board with the .177. I don't care how flat and accurate it is lol, I want to hit my target with some Smack Baby. With some Authority
