I have been shooting the NRL22 & PRS Rimfire series for 2 season and just started my 3rd of NRL22. I decided I wanted a challenge this year with the Air Rifle Devision. I knew it needed to be done with the FX USA Impact M3 and I wanted it to be in .22 caliber for other reasons. This platform is phenomenal and lights out accurate.
Balance is the key to this whole game. If you rig isn’t balanced on a shooting prop/ barricade you are going to fight it for the whole stage and every stage after that. Anyone can come out and shoot this game in the prone position, but it’s won on the barricades. Quality gear in you bag don’t hurt either. Do what it takes to get a solid balanced shooting position and the rest will fall into place with time.
Always remember you can’t miss fast enough to make up for a bad position. Take time to make the best position you can and make impacts. If you time out on a 12 round stage, but make 10 impacts you are better than the guy that makes 9 and finishes with .20 sec left on the clock.
