It brings me such joy that you used Malumi's "Snow" as the background music for this. Had a good chuckle over that. :)

Researching for this type of thing must be a little gruesome, but worth it. Great results.

A little tip for any occasion where you paint your finger tips, especially around the nails: Put down a single layer of liquid latex, thin enough not to add any texture. You can peel it off easily instead of having black around the nails forever as it can stay really strong. I once used it for a handart where I painted my whole hand black with some details and it worked wonderfully :)

Wow!!! I, coincidentally, just worked with a frostbite patient today. 6/10 toes, and 2 fingers were removed today as a result of the frost bite. Browsing through my subscribe box and coming across your video took me by surprise as it is pretty on point compared to the actual image I have emblazoned in my head!! Amazing work! So realistic, your thumbnail fooled this wound care nurse!! Xoxo.

Where do you get your references from? Do you just google frostbite or third degree burn and look at pictures or do you have like art/fx makeup books were all that stuff is in? And as always, great video :D

My dad cut his finger once and needed a bandaid. He put it on pretty tight, when he took it off he saw a bit of his finger was black. His nail had made it so the little part there died. It was such a little piece we didn't worry, about a week later the piece fell off and now everything is normal. But it did look weird with a part of his finger being black since his normal skin-tone is really light....

Could you do a twd inspired zombie look using products that would be available in the UK as alot of the makeup you use isn't available where I live

There is a TWD video on the channel and everything can be bought online. Very little shops in the UK will sell everything you need.

What's the difference between water vs alcohol activated paint?
@rachelmoen79309 жыл бұрын
Basically one will work with water, and one will work with alcohol. If you try to put water on an alcohol activated paint, it won't work. It will stay solid. There are pros and cons to both. Water is easier to work with, bit if you sweat it will come off faster, as opposed to alcohol activated where once its on, no amount of sweat will rub it off. Hope that helps!
@ktktoo84629 жыл бұрын
Ah! Thank you Rachel Moen ! Very helpful. :)
@batqueen199 жыл бұрын
alcohol makeup is activated with alcohol, water makeup is activated with water. alcohol makeup is good for if you're going to be wearing your makeup for a long time or if you're going to need to touch things, it won't rub off or sweat off. the only problem is you have to use alcohol to remove it. Water activated is good if it's a short wear, it's easier to remove, I personally have only used water activated paints, definately be careful using alcohol activated paints on your skin to make sure your skin doesn't hate you afterward, do a test patch on your wrist. I wouldn't use it around your eyes because they're so sensitive
