I'm glad I was able to find time to make this video before the deep dive into the DRS begins! To clarify my comments on balance: FX does make barrel weights and compact M-LOK weights that will allow you to balance the factory fore-end without affecting the ARCA rail clearance. So you don't HAVE to buy aftermarket fore-ends to make it work. I just personally like the extra width & length that the Saber rail provides, but there are cheaper ways to achieve balance.

Hello Matt, Tyler from Oregon here. I'm ready to purchase a scope for my pcp not going to bore with the details but I decided to go with element optics, specifically the helix hd as it's the most affordable for my needs. I'm wondering why when I watch all of your videos the scope camera footage is "a little color blurry". As in the scope cam footage is blurry. To my eyes or out of focus in the color side of the scope. I'm concerned with the rifle scopes clarity. But I was also thinking this is probably the cameras fault,making the scope cam footage grainy for me please get back to me and easy my worries because I love the idea of Element optics especially because so many of us trust what you say Matt. Please get back to me Tyler thank you ❤

Matt I’ve always been a BSA guy my R12 clx pro in .177 with Optisan scope was a laser gun plus I heard stories about FX rifle being the most messed with guns out there but also I was getting stories on how accurate they are so I put my toe in FX waters and bought a new DRS WALNUT in .177 and it was so good I thought if only there was a FX that was a little bigger and slightly better then I saw the FX crown mk II so I part exchanged the DRS with a little cash and left the store with a Crown Mk II with case and accessories in .177 in forest green laminate thanks mate you know your stuff.

Thanks for the video. Are you simply loosening the 2 barrel nuts and leaving them looser? Or offsetting the bracket from the end of the plenum (creating a gap) and then retightening them?

I clean after every shoot. Whether it be 20 rounds or 50, as soon as I get home it's done. Unless the missus wants to go out for a early dinner late lunch, then I do it that evening. I've often thought about a old rod I have on a cordless drill. I'd like to see John's processes. I think I over clean but I'd rather go out next time knowing it's clean and ready to shoot for the day or weekend, without any drama. Each ti their own, some in the club I shoot in are a 400 rounds cleaner, others when the shot's start to show signs of inaccuracy. I can go back and put the 1st rounds down exactly where I left off. Cleaning works for me.

You’re onto somthing I thought I had a junk liner but what I think happened was I had just did a .22 conversion on my .25 panthera and I couldn’t get it to group. lots of money slugs and air later I cleaned the barrel and bam! I was grouping pretty much whatever I had put into it some better then others but you get my point. also when I was putting 6 different .218 slugs and a couple .217 slugs through it like a ton of different manufacturers it never really got fouled in by any one slug so I was wasting these things I figured out I would have to pick one and stick with it and not jump around.. I couldn’t believe how bad the accuracy was doing that. the liner was chunked up bad.. anyways yes cleaning is very important we need to get that out there like centerfire f-class and bench rest shooters have been doing. Thanks for speaking up about it.

The only thing Iv’e noticed that for so many models of FX pcps! much more on the latest ones’ haven’t seen a complete or partial review of chronied shots on target (10 shots on 25 -50 yds) & witness the E.S. & S.D. & above all the accuracy!

Hi 🤠You have given preference to technical reviews of gun and projectiles, competition shooting or monster sized rifles on most of your FX reviews. I was wondering if you could enlighten us on the FX Panthera Hunter Compact on .30 cal. I had experience with firearms but since I become interested in PCPs I have been looking for small, light.... and powerful. In the last two years I have found out that there is lots of PCP enthusiasts with the same interest. Is a market niche. Thank you.

what does mean it is consintent? what is the spread through all posiible shots from one tank? Why there are no tests showing whole velocity range and how the regulator is behaving as the pressure in tank goes down? I think it's really good to know if you want to go shoot some competition that doesnt allow to tank up.

I am so happy to have found and seen this video and I already have a Panthera Hunter Compact 300mm in .22 and love it. And I just bought a Panthera 600 mm with front and rear bottles in 22 caliber. It also has a bag rider from Saber. It's coming from Utah Airguns and it should arrive by the end of this coming week. I just sent a message to the people that make that 4 port muzzle brake asking if there's a dealer in the United States or how I can get one. Can that muzzle brake be used with a moderator? And if so does it go in front of or at the rear of the moderator? I am in Connecticut USA.

Matt, I'm not sure whether to praise you or swear at you for opening my eyes wider at the capability of PCP. What really makes me shake my head is I'm looking at double the cost of my powder burners and that's without any optics or mod's. I've not needed or wanted anything in years, so Maybe I shouldn't complain too loudly. You have bounced around my neck of the woods in NC more than I realized. I have not 100% made up my mind between the impact or panthera, but I think the valve block and the refined options may outweigh my concerns of the tiny air tank. The panthera I'm pretty sure would be my last "Want".. hopefully. I really wish I could drive somewhere that had these on hand, I think I read somewhere wilmington closed.(Sad) Really enjoy your content. Cheers. (Hey I was lucky 13th comment)
@AirArmsHuntingSA9 ай бұрын
On the topic of cost, the interesting thing is that at Shot Show when we had Precision Rifle shooters looking at the FX DRS, they were commenting on how cheap it was compared to their match rifles. So I think it probably depends on what you deem to be a comparable firearm. A match rimfire or centerfire in a similar chassis with a similar grade trigger will cost even more
@lectro889 ай бұрын
I really appreciate the reply., I also realize that I am entering a very elite class of shooting possibilities with this Jewel. Also so you and everyone else can get a chuckle. I'm jumping/Leaping from a Gamo Urban 22 to a FX....something, but I have my gut feelings it's a Panthera. Thanks again. @@AirArmsHuntingSA
