FX Replay 4 Months Later: Is It Worth It?

I’ve been using FX Replay for 4/5 months now almost everyday to refine and backtest my trading strategies. In this video I give my thoughts on whether you should continue or consider paying the monthly subscription.

Is there any option for like windows of time? Say I wanted to test 2 specific windows of time in a given day, can it break the data down to display between them both or would you need to test each window of time individually?

If one wanted to switch from the 15 min to the one min 4 months ago (say jan 30) would the chart stay on that day or would i have to scroll back to jan 30?

that’s exactly my question 😂 in trading view it jumps back to Live market when switching to 1min chart. Thats so annoying.

yes it does stay at that exact position and you dont get spoilered by higher timeframe candles.

Can someone may explain this to me? I used FX replay for the first time now. what does the 'ideal avergae RR' and 'Max Ideal RR' even mean? Can the software see how far my trades could have went into profit!? Or what does this mean? I feel stupid 😅

The reason why I tried FXreplay, coz I can subs by monthly basis, in Forex Tester I need to subs straight one year. I just tried to play little bit here for 1 week, need some learning curve since I am familiar more with Metatrader and not TradingView. But you all guys need to have a backtest software, it doesnt matter which one you like best.

except from the data, is this any different then backtesting in tradingview? can you use multiple chart at the same time in the same timeline?

On TradingView it will show whats happened on the HTF before it plays out on the LTF, on FXReplay that doesn’t happen and you can only test 1 pair, if you want to test another pair you’d have to create a new session which I personally prefer

you can bring your sl to break even you can drag your sl to it

When you're in a "trade" in FX Replay, you are able to trim 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of your remaining or initial position when you click the "x" on your position in the chart. You're also able to draft your SL directly to B/E or in profits on the charts themselves.b👍
