Regarding the issue of how to know if a zone is fresh or not, I read in one Supply & Demand book: "To tell if a zone is fresh, non-fresh or used up, simply look right. If the price has NOT returned to test the zone, it is fresh. If it returned once to test the zone, it is non fresh. If it returned more than once, it is used up" I also noticed that there is another quality of a zone which is Original or Non-Original which is exactly the technique Mr Wendell is explaining to qualify the freshness of a zone. Any way, I benefited alot from the Vid.

It's February 2019. I think this is one of the better videos I've watched to date. Supply and Demand Zones make a lot of sense. I pretty much know how to read charts from different time zones. My biggest problem are my entries, I always get shaken out. After watching this video and having a better under standing on Supply & Demand Zones. I can see the zones on real time charts. I see the gains from the Demand Zones. I also see the selling from the Supply Zones. I hope that this new skill helps me out with my entries from now on. Thank You for your clear explanation on this topic Brandon. Well Done

@@emman866My opinion on the best way to read and understand charts....... You just got to invest the time in looking over different charts. In the beginning it is confusing, it's the same feeling when learning a new language. There is a book called How To Make Money In Stocks by William J. O'Neil. Hmmm- I disagree with John Miller below- to a degree that is. I have come across "look left" in other teachings- - But never to look specifically for this. Here is my issue with this lesson- We are looking for "supply"- presumably, this is what the Market Makers do. They "work" a supply zone before the supply is exhausted and PX makes the desired move into profits. I guess I need to track down other FX Street lessons to determine when & how to exit my winning trade. Overall- I like what I learned here and will re-watch this video at least a couple of more times- including while I am poring over real charts. Of course- we have to trade on the right side of the chart- that's the mystery for many of us. I don't think what Brandon Wendall is showing me has actually sunk in fully. I sense something very important to my understanding- but it hasn't clicked yet.

My issue with this oversimplified lesson is there's no talk of distance, time, space. He says look "left" to find the fresh zone. Ok, but for how long? The one you see can be a test of the other but that could be said for almost all zones if you look carefully unless you factor in the amount of time or candles or whatever. If there is no limit then you'll never find fresh zones.
@dappa3116 жыл бұрын
Junebug Presents I have had that same issue . It’s all still arbitrary. Cause you can go as far back and you will always see a zone that looks fresh buts it’s not.
@kevtherev81946 жыл бұрын
I dont know, but...the more recent, the more fresh (ie strong). So, a week is good. A month is ok. But, beyond 4 weeks, i imagine slow "decay" of zones.
Brilliant video - helped clarify some important concepts for me. Now has me considering getting rid of my news squawk.

From this webminar I understand, and that is independent from RSI, MACD, MA, EMA BUT we follow the trend of the market. when trend is up, you approach a untested supply area (above the current price) for the first or second time we would sell, and when trend was down, and you approach a untested demand area (below the current price) for the first or second time we must change from short to long thinking, we would buy, because the institution put buy orders here, not willing buy higher price (so sellers dried up, and price gets lower with that move they pull the price down )... is that so?

Surely if the freshest zone to the left is so far out say for example 12 months out on a daily chart then banks etc won’t want to wait that amount of time to buy or sell their currency as time is of the essence in terms of exchange rates and interest rates so I would make the assumption that the time span between zones would be as short as possible? Please correct me if I am wrong.
