Whenever I hear this song, I clearly remember Tamahome. How he went back to the book again in the OVA. And the sadness and confusion Taka had when he's about to disappear. He's always thinking of Miaka whenever he's in grief.

Spoiler alert! (Though at this point I think everyone knows these details already lol) It always made me sad that somehow Taka and Tamahome are so different even though they're supposedly the same person. When Miaka made her decision, it really hurts to see the puppet that has Tamahome's memories (basically the og Tamahome) not chosen. I know it's still Taka in the end, but it really drove it home that Taka is not yet at the same time, is also Tamahome (if that makes sense). It's like saying a person is not the same person as s/he was 20 years ago even though it's still the same person. Imagine your beloved choosing another person who you don't recognize as your other half. That gotta hurt.

Damn, I'm here again. I just rewatched the whole series and OVA all over again. Now I'm reading the manga. Tamahome's awesome but much more in the manga.
