Bruno Conti, born 13 March 1955 in Nettuno (Italy). 18-year career with AS Roma (1973-1991), 304 Serie A games and 37 goals. Playing as winger, wearing the number 7 shirt, he became a fans idol, nicknamed "Mayor of Rome". He won the 1982/83 Scudetto, plus 5 Coppa Italia, losing 1983/84 European Cup final (vs. Liverpool) and 1990/91 Uefa Cup final (vs. Internazionale).
He was one of the 11 first members to be inducted into the AS Roma Hall of Fame in 2012.
Conti played 47 international games (with 5 goals) between 1980 and 1986 with Italy National Team, winning 1982 FIFA World Cup.
During this tournament he reached the peak of his career, playing all the 7 matches, scoring 1 goal against Peru, serving an assist in the final, being elected in the team of the tournament, dubbed "best player" by Pelé and nicknamed "Mara-Zico" by anyone else.
