Thanks for the support and the sub! I’ll definitely be keeping the vids coming. After the engine build I’ll be getting back to more g body specific videos, like repairing my cracked dash, wiring, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air install…I got a lot of stuff in store. It’s gonna be a process but I’m gonna keep up the vids the whole way.

What was the issue with tank isulators?
@CarsandJoshee Жыл бұрын
It had a velcro strip that was supposed to connect the ends. It wasn't secured to the strap very well from the factory. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3qWfZycjL9_a9U

Hey bro ?? How come you ran the vent like that. 0nly asking cause I followed you an when I was asked I said shit it worked for joshy
@CarsandJoshee3 жыл бұрын
You should ensure the vent line is run so that the line is higher than the highest point on the tank, including the filler neck. The El Camino tank has a bump on the top that makes it a challenge. If the vent line has a dip, or loops, it could collect fuel causing the tank to pressurize and eventually purge the vent line (leak fuel). So you don't want any dips or loops and you want it as high as you can get it.

How many feet of hose did you use
@CarsandJoshee2 жыл бұрын
I got 20’ of both. After routing the catch can and fuel pressure regulator I used about all of it.

What type of fuel line and connectors did you use? What was the rating on them?
@CarsandJoshee3 жыл бұрын
Fuel lines and other parts can be seen here: kzbin.info/aero/PLzL-nOwWUcR3H1S5cZCerJPT9dKbzSWPc There’s also a short shot of the thin tank strap isolators I mentioned in the other reply.

How hard was it to remove the factory fuel hard lines? That's probably going to be my agenda on my Monte today since I'm waiting on parts😒. Doesn't look so simple.
@CarsandJoshee3 жыл бұрын
Could be challenging if you have some old rusty lines that don't want to break free. If it's clean, it shouldn't be too bad.
