This was a great review. I am definitely going to try this company. The one thing I hate is when grown men whine about ruining the finish in their carry gun! First of all, it is not a Corvette. Second of all, if your carry gun is between $400 and $1000 then it shouldn’t matter about the finish. It is a carry gun, a tool, that’s it! Battled scars are a part of concealed carry. The best you can do is, wipe it down before holstering and then once you are home and unholster it wipe it down again. Just carry what you want and if it gets that bad, have it cerakote did to look brand new again! Thanks for the comparisons.

@360TacticalSolutions
@360TacticalSolutions Жыл бұрын
Well the Holosun won't be an issue as far as this holster goes and for the comp...it should work with the only exception being that the comp will push past the end of the holster. That is of course as long as the comp isn't bigger than the slide of the Hellcat Pro. If the comp is bigger there will be an issue that can't really be gotten around. I think G-Code uses a CNC set up to cut all their holsters and the holsters are made on pre set molds. Keep me updated and let me know how it goes

Does this work with the gas pedal
@360TacticalSolutions
@360TacticalSolutions 8 ай бұрын
Not even remotely close. I use a McKinatec Talon holster and in the drop down menu for rail adapters I chose "tactical pro ledge" which gives room for the gas pedal. Heating up this G-Code Phenom to reshape it so it works with the gas pedal would most likely lead to losing retention. If it were a light bearing holster I would probably try it but this one isn't

How do you like the G-code vs your McKenna Tech .. I think I spelled that right
@360TacticalSolutions
@360TacticalSolutions 3 ай бұрын
They are neck and neck. If I had to pick one id probably say the Mckinatec. GCode is slightly higher quality but the belt clip requires a lot to adjust its angle. The McKinatec belt clip is much easier to adjust and has more range of adjustment whereas the GCode has only 3 static slots for cant adjustment. That to me is a big deal. I like to have fine adjustment in where and how my holster rides in my pants. Also the GCode has no ride height adjustment so that is a definite disadvantage.

@@AverageGunPerson I cut a real thin yoga block wedge just to add some cushion more than I did to really wedge it. For me it was like a hotspot I had to deal with. As far as usage id say I probably wear it 50% of the time I use my HCP. I find I don't draw quite as fast with it though so I back off the retention screw quite a bit. The fuzz adds friction which helps hold the gun in place so you won't need as tight a retention screw

I havent looked at that one specifically but I have looked at some that are similar. I find that when a holster is Ambi it tends to be a little more bulky than a single sided, at the same time holsters that are both IWB and OWB also tend to be a bit more bulky. @@AricWilisch my favorite for OWB for actual carry use and not use in a battle belt is the Syncron from GCode www.tacticalholsters.com/product/syncron-owb/ The important part is its bridge mounting system. What’s your favorite G code variation of those three? Do you like those better than the McKenatec holster? Also why don’t you use a light with you HCP?
@360TacticalSolutions
@360TacticalSolutions Жыл бұрын
All good questions. I prefer the stealth out of the three phenom holsters. I like the material inside the holster. It’s held up really well and gives a whole different feeling when you put your gun in it. I don’t know that these can really be compared to the McKinatec. Hands down McKinatec is the best value there is. Those phenom holsters don’t have any real customization to them, there’s no option to even add a light. I’ve been carrying the Phenom full time trying to see what it takes to wear out the fuzz material. No luck yet. McKinatec is still my brand of choice. As far as lights go, I’ve been really undecided for the HCP. I wasn’t worried about it because for quite a while I had been testing the Phenom. Now that I’m nearly done evaluating the phenom I do need to decide on a light and order a light bearing holster from McKinatec. Sometimes it’s just tough because I have to make certain carry choices depending on the products I’m reviewing. I’ve been stuck carrying a handheld light in my pocket during this period lol

@360TacticalSolutions
@360TacticalSolutions 8 ай бұрын
Im going to be honest here...Im not sure what you are talking about with new vs old belt clips. This video is like a year old and a quick search of their site it looks like the belt clip they are using isn't any different from what I have on mine. New vs old...no idea, no point of reference to even be able to give an opinion. In generalized terms, sure a heavy outward angle on a belt clip can affect how your holster sits against your body but I think the design of the claw has more end use results than the belt clip. Honestly I like to add a couple of spacers behind my concealment claws and use longer screws so the claw is raised up off the holster a bit and I find that makes a major difference in leverage and how much the grip gets pushed toward the body. Regardless of the clip thats used, your belt is only letting that holster get so far away from your body

@@SVTBansheeman I thought I had some footage of the mag carrier in this video? Honestly Im not a fan. I think the most comfortable and concealable thing on the market is the Phlster Ascent kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5yWdmR3q6hoha8 It needs a belt clip but other than that its the one I use daily

Yup, you sure did. I did not reach the video before I posed to see. My Mistake. I will check out that other video as well. Thanks!

Take it easy…if you want a close up you are going to have to pay the subscription to my Only Fans like everyone else. Seriously though, you have no idea what it’s like battling with KZbin in order to keep advertising on the channel. I don’t do close ups during holster videos anymore for a good reason. Basically all AIWB holsters are going to conceal the same. Showing it on video doesn’t help unless you plan to use the same gun, you are the same build and you wear your clothes the same as me.

@@360TacticalSolutions haha just giving you a hard time! I actually do have the same pistol and the phenom was on my top 3 holsters to get so I was curious on how it concealed. I actually really appreciate the in depth review of all 3 because I reached out to them yesterday to ask what exactly the differences were between all of them and you answered all my questions before they did.

@@alexisramos9064 excellent timing lol. As far as concealment goes I think the Phenom is great. Their standard Moclaw is the way to go if you ask me. It puts enough pressure on the belt to help turn the grip of the gun into the body while still giving you access to get that perfect grip when you draw. One thing about the Hellcat Pro is because it's a shorter barrel/shorter holster the muzzle end does want to press into you a little bit. Im considering ordering a wedge kit from Phlster to alleviate this issue. It's not the typical wedge most people use where it's a block of foam thats hacked down to size. Theirs is a multipart velcro attached system that has different size and shape pieces to get the best fit. The holster doesn't totally need it but I feel like it can boost the comfort when carrying all day.

That fuzz stuff in the inside will ware and hook on your front sight hindering your draw. Also warmth and humidity will make it sticky. That has been my experience and I'll never get a holster with a fuzzy inside. The other holsters look nice tho

One thing about mag carriers that are super annoying is there’s no mag ride height adjustment so it’s super uncomfortable to carry especially appendix. I don’t need the mag to stick up 3 inches above my waist line for fuck sake haha. How have companies not figured this out? It’s a concealment magazine…not a fucking competition speed reload mag holder haha

@@AntwonDaBusinessDark Star Gear Koala. It’s intentionally longer, which keeps it more stable and keeps the mag carrier from digging in or tipping out. It also uses a series of holes and a pin block to change how deep the mag sits in the carrier.
