Yeah it is much better. This G eazy has a poet type writing. It’s almost movie like. All his lines punch 🥊 . He’s rapping about “taking your girl” but he did it in a cool “James dean/ Elvis” way. Today G eazy has a 70s “feminine” look. I also think the tattoos that he got ruined his “dapper/James dean” image. He’s starting to look like “Johnny cash” it’s weird. I miss 2011-2016 G. I think the whole Halsey relationship too a tole on him. I always thought Halsey is corny. I know G eazy cheated which is a huge problem…but that’s his lifestyle…he shouldn’t have gotten in a relationship yet…he’s G fucking eazy…he should’ve given more of himself to his fans and his music career first. I miss the humble/cool “these things happen” g eazy whose on the come up from the bay.

Man I remember slappin this freshman year of highschool, when this actually came out. Puttin all my boys on to this dope local rapper I found. I was lookin through his KZbin videos and he released I Mean It 8 years ago, which is about when he got big. First time I heard him on the radio was Far Alone I think, which was still years after I found G, just crazy that he got big that long ago and that the first time I heard his shit was that much further back. His music has definitely changed a lot over the years. Kinda gotta appeal to the masses to really win the game, so I get it, and his new stuff has some gems here and there, but man listening to this song all these years later takes me back like somethin else. Glad homie is tasting the fruits of his labor.
