Honestly, this line distribution isn't absolute accurate reflected cause Minnie wrote many songs, and in her own songs, she will usually sing more instead of title. Do realize that Miyeon usually loses the ranks by a few seconds in most of the OT5 comebacks. It's not as unfair as the rankings may make it seem like. Plus, (G)I-DLE loves cool delivery spoken/rap parts in their songs, especially as of late. Soyeon clearly prefers Miyeon's singing tone to her speaking/rapping tone most of the time, which limits Soyeon's use cases for her. Not to say her spoken parts don't come to play! She just tends to have a much cuter tone, and Soyeon has to work extra hard to get bad girl energy from Miyeon, and that's okay!! Her cute tone worked so well on Queencard, and she pulled off some of those bad girl mannerisms in Super Lady! It also has to do with Soyeon wanting to make her members shine equally, and it's objective that each member has different skills in different amounts, so Soyeon incorporates the members according to those skills. Miyeon is an INCREDIBLE vocalist and would outshine all the other members if she had more parts, imo. Her "slightly shorter" sung parts tend to make her shine plenty without outshining other members.

1) No one in music academia is using that stupid ranking and none of the KZbin vocal "experts" knows what they are talking about (otherwise, they'd been busy making money by coaching instead of having to rely on fan biased KZbin videos). 2) Vocal technique and musicality really are not important for Kpop - no one in Gidle is a skilled technical vocalist. The lines distributions are based on tone and versatility: Miyeon is not a worse singer than Minnie, but she has a less distinct and genre versatile tone than Minnie and Yuqi. She also doesn't compose and probably has less interest in singing/music than the producer line. I'm sure no one in Gidle gives a fuck about line distribution and who has millisecond more in one song
