While before their perf, they got off-charted not long after its release. The international neverlands are not even as many as people thought. Cause if it is, their physical album sales and their youtube mv will do much better than now. I'm not discrediting anyone, but these girls do have good amount of casual listeners. I just wish the fandom will grow more and resulted in their sales cause they are that good.

You don't know how much I wanted this reaction. Now, about the female lion. I saw in other video, analysing the MV, that female lions are just under the male. They do everything basically, but still they are just part of the male's harem. The alpha Lion role is basically rest and defend his herd when is necessary. So I think that match better the warrior concept the girls wanted. But if you see, at the end, the male lion in the paint is burning, and Soojin is in front of it. So it could mean also that they were in the role of the female lion, but now are taking the crown from the male. Now they are the lion queens. I also recommend you to watch the Queendom performances, not only (G)I-dle's. There where this song Born. There was Mamamoo, AOA and other girls groups and soloist from 2en1

I think the reason they used a male lion is because they are telling people they are females but they are as strong and fearless as the male lion king, that's why they describe themselves as I am Queen Lion and not Lioness.
