Soyeon is so amazing. She has such a clear vision for what she wants out of a song AND she knows how to communicate that effectively to the members. She knows exactly what to tell them to help them convey the exact right emotions and how to coach them if they’re not quite getting it. I love the way she mentors Shihua here. She’s extraordinary. I love seeing how her face lights up when they nail it the way she hears it in her head. And she holds herself to the same high standard for her own parts. You see her demanding more takes from herself to get it right just as she would for the other members.

I think the most amazing thing about watching this is that she doesn't just sing, but she is also thinking about how to TEACH how to sing. A lot of people know how to do something but they don't necessarily know how to teach it back to someone. And not only that, but Soyeon considers how each member learns and takes into consideration everyone's weakness so they all get to the same point as she does. She doesn't get frustrated when someone doesn't do something right, but instead takes it upon herself to change the way she teaches. This level of empathy isn't something even all teachers have. She doesn't have the best vocals, compared to the others, I think she is the weakest on this particular subject, but she has something really strong about her way of being a leader and, judging by this video alone, she is very exigent in a good way, because she knows what she wants and she instructs her girls to do the "right way". She has a big potential to be a great producer. And yes, I know she sings really well too. I've seen some presentations of her alone. She is good. I think the easiest part here for soyeon is that she knows very well her members voices. So it's easy for her to know where to put and how she would distribute the lines. It may still sound hard but comparing to other things she would do like thinking about melody, rhythm or lyrics I think distribution of lines is the easiest.

Line distribution seems like the easiest part yeah but they still work for hours recording/getting the story/tone/message/feeling right. Its almost like an acting job-class its still a lot of work but your right soyeon has said multiple times that she writes the parts specific for each member based on their special abilities and what they do best and since she knows them so well its not that hard for her :)
