And they needed to save the money rather than spending it. From what I can tell, they did exactly this, making as much money as they could and stockpiling it, in the last few years. I mean, what does this add up to? It's not like Soyeon or the other members are being subtle about their intentions, is it? It adds up to exactly what you described. I'd be surprised if anything else happened. One more point, since I know something about noncompete clauses. If Soyeon is behind BRD, her contract will prohibit her from actively managing BRD until her contract expires, but will almost certainly not prohibit her from investing in BRD or suggesting that they hire her friend. The noncompete clauses in idol contracts did not contemplate idols being rich and investing, so they're all about not working for other music companies - I am pretty sure they say nothing about investing in other music companies. Oh, one other thing. I believe that before moving to their own label, particularly if bringing Soojin back, they also would have wanted to strengthen their international fandom. The "Heat" album, while an oddity, introduced a bunch of English-language KZbinrs and influencers to (G)I-DLE, spreading awareness in the English-speaking world (they then followed back to the other material). I know that what SOYEON said can be as vague but CLARIFYING because MANY are believing that SOYEON is shading her BEST FRIEND: In 2021, like many, CUBE doubted that IDLE would be able to keep going after Soojin's withdrawl, regardless of their will. This is not shade to Soojin, but rather to CUBE which instead of supporting their artists after not protecting their own, downplayed them. Soyeon EMPHASIZES Soojin's importance as if SJ was the leader of the group. The mention of her name has more SHOCK VALUE than actual MEANING. After years being silenced, now that her solo contract with CUBE has terminated, she can freely say her name and not be affected by legal terms. She reintroduced Soo을in while stating a statement that CUBE threw at them. It leaves room for interpretation, but if misinterpreted, it confirms the part where she says that "fans who pretend to care are not fans", bc REAL fans know their history. Soyeon also called Soojin "Unnie a term of endearment that would not be used in a DISS She deliberately chose that. From woo

Cube is a crap company, especially since 2013. After 4MINUTE’s Volume Up, you can tell they only care about how big a comeback does. Honestly feel (G)-Idle will leave them and I hope so. These companies need to be held accountable for messing up their artists. It’s one thing if they can’t afford to push out a comeback, it’s another to keep these artists under a tight thumb and then pull the rug out from under them by not promoting them during a contract cycle. Kind of like slavery. Feel bad enough for CLC and 4MINUTE and all the other groups that got screwed over by them. If they can’t start their own company, I’d join S2 Entertainment (I don’t know if they are the best company, but I feel that company would do great with them and Kiss Of Life).
