The Main Theory: the song is about a woman who's lover stopped loving her, so she kills them. Shuhua and Miyeon: They're representing the denial that their lover doesn't love her. Their faces have a blank look, like they don't want to believe what they did or that their lover didn't love her / lost all love for her. Yuqi and Soojin: They're representing the pain that she feels, before and after she becomes crazy. Yuqi in the beginning looks sad but also excited that she will kill the partner. Soojin looks sad until she smudges her lipstick, when she smudges the lip stick it symbolizes rubbing the blood of her hands. She is no longer just sad or angry, she is scared of what she is becoming. And after they smudged their lipstick Yuqi no longer looks thrilled she looks like she is terrified just like Soojin. (When Soojin smudges her lip stick that's when she kills her lover.) Minne: She is representing the woman feeling nothing. The only emotion she shows is intense pain, but she isn't crying. It's a true sign of insanity. Soyeon: In the beginning she is just sad and in denial, but at the end she has gone completely crazy to the point were she can be smiling evily one second to crying loudly on the floor. Out of all the girls she represents the true angry and crazy in the woman. Her mood shifts the most. At the end the song everyone is singing different things at the same time and it's a bit chaotic. It's like her head is full of voices and feelings. She is completely insane.

One of the fun things about Queendom was how the showrunners initially tried to pit the different girl groups against one another in its editing at the start of the show, akin to a typical competition show. But when the stage performances started, the girls kept being enthralled by and cheering on each others' performances. And you could more or less hear the editors giving up and going "Welp, looks like we'll be doing it that way instead" behind-the-scenes. 😁😁

To (hopefully) answer your question: When Shuhua flipped her hair over her face like that -- she was in effect becoming a "long-haired ghost" from Asian horror lore. She was preparing to become an absolute nightmare to the lover who abandoned her. Scary, but incredibly beautiful. "Put It Straight" (Nightmare version) is one of my favorite songs of theirs, alongside "Hann" and "Lion". And though this performance is stunning., their Halloween version is even better. Be sure to catch it, sometime.

There was a lot of voting between the groups, so there was a lot of strategic voting, I think the other groups had to vote Gidle lower to keep them from winning because they were so good. This stage was voted by a group of housewives i think? They said it didn't land well with them. The final came down to song sales/downloads and I believe Mamamoo blew it out of the water in Korea. Lets not forget the other groups had some pretty amazing stages as well, I feel like Gidle should have won, but I get the politics, the strategy, and the loyalty of Koreans to Elders/Established groups.

Maybe other commenters have said so, but I don't know if they were clear. THIS is a remix of a b-track that was nice but sort of unremarkable when comparing to other tracks. This was rearranged by Soyeon for this competition specifically. She wanted to showcase songs that weren't popular comebacks and to show everyone how they can perform on stage without a recognizable song. The others were iffy on if this would work, Yuqi in particular scared that this was just fanservice (as only fans would know the song) but as usual God-Queen Soyeon was right. The remix and new performance blow up online, and (G)I-DLE gained massive amount of fans due to this (and the other Queendom performances).
