Mostly things like G.I.Joe. You cannot make a story involving a military team and a terrorist organisation determined to rule the world into Cobra Commander wanting to go into a discotheque and becoming the best stand-up comic while teaching Snakespeare to kids... It should involve a degre of seriousness, even if it would remain for young audiences. Honestly now, I would like if they made it into a live series for older audiences, it would be cool.

@@spacecat6022 - Folks, remember the original Voltron? I've seen Go Lion. Talk about seriously make a lot of corny cuts and alterations. Kiddification was all the rage back then, because the standards were something along the lines of the Moral Crusader Movement. The only really good series that remained intact, despite the Americanization or became legend because of it, was Robotech. THAT serious kept it real. I do hope both GI Joe and Robotech get the 21st Century makeovers to make them legends once more, like how Voltron got that desperately needed remake that made it awesome!

HASBRO absolutely HATES G.I. Joe and actively tries to destroy it whenever possible. (In my personal opinion, HASBRO is a pure anti-American garbage company that doesn't deserve to hold such an iconic IP.) That's the only rational explanation for those two abominations of so-called G.I. Joe movies, and why no G.I. Joe project since the end of the 80's has even held a candle to the original. Channing Tatum had never even heard of G.I. Joe, and was worried that the show glorified war! Great choice for Duke, right!? Give me a break! And don't get me started on the "Rock" playing Roadblock . . . Excuse me, but did anyone even think to call Terry Crews!? He was born to play Roadblock! EVERYONE in "Retaliation" was miscast! Bruce Willis was criminally underused, and most of the time it sounded like he was working off a totally different script than everyone else. Sad to say, but for us children of the 80's, Stallone's "Expendables" is really the closest thing we have to legitimate movies for our "Real American Heroes", it just takes a little bit of "head-canon" tweaking. I know the original show gets flack all the time for being a glorified toy commercial (and it absolutely is!) and the plot/premise is paper thin, but as ridiculous as the logic in each episode is (it was designed to entertain 5-10 year old's after all), I would rather watch every single 1980's episode from now until the end of time before giving HASBRO a single penny of my money for anything they've slapped the G.I. Joe name on since 1990! HASBRO was a "woke" America-hating company before woke was even a thing! The downfall of G.I. Joe happened the second they went from "AMERICA'S daring, highly trained, Special Mission Force" to a global unit. Of course, the original Joe's were comprised of soldiers that hailed from, and were trained, all over the world. And their mission was to defend HUMAN freedom all over the planet from COBRA. But, once they removed America from G.I. Joe, the magic was gone. Tell me, honestly . . . what country would devote EVERYTHING they have to defending human freedom? I love our allies, truly, but will Britain defend the globe against COBRA on their own? (and you need look no further than the last 20 years of the "war on terror" for the answer. America's contribution compared to the rest of the world is no contest.) Australia? Israel? Canada? Let's look at the world as a whole. Russia? China? Any country in South America? Africa? Japan? The E.U.? We all know the answer. (I am personally against American military adventurism/intervention, but that's beside the point.) Without America, the world falls. You don't have to believe me. It changes nothing. The point is that taking America out of G.I. Joe just made G.I. Joe mediocre. The same thing happened to Superman when he stopped fighting for "Truth, Justice, and the American way." He became just another superhero in tights . . . nothing special, because he lost a huge part of his identity. America is G.I. Joe's IDENTITY! I tried watching G.I. Joe Renegades (a nonsensical reboot that felt the need to explain the origin of EVERYTHING including how each one got their codename . . . talk about paper thin), Sigma Six (immediately dropped the ball when they dropped "a real American hero") . . . G.I. Joe Extreme . . . they all failed compared to the original. And not only did these new iterations of G.I. Joe fail . . . so did COBRA! New Cobra has never surpassed the original "ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world!" Last thing . . . Snake Eyes is a 6'2", blonde haired white guy who trained to become a ninja and was adopted into the Arashikage clan. His story is how an outsider proves his worth and overcomes tremendous obstacles to persevere and even triumph. He endures a devastating loss/injury, and is thrown into a world and place he doesn't know without a safety net and learns to become something more than what he was. These are fundamental morality and character building lessons that are no longer present in our children's media. He lost his voice due to a combat injury in most iterations, so he never speaks. (A trait that HASBRO was only too happy to let Bumblebee steal for the Bay-Formers "movies") He was never Asian, and the fact that HASBRO altered one of the most popular G.I. Joe's (and arguably, one of the most popular characters of modern pop-culture) to interject identity politics into G.I. Joe illustrates HASBRO's proclivities toward woke-ism. But, fortunately, most people don't even remember that "G.I. Joe Origins - Snake Eyes" was even a thing. A final message to HASBRO: To Whom It May Concern, Are you paying attention to what has happened to Bud Light? (April/May 2023) Woke-ism is not only dying, it is dead. Woke-ism has no merit, no value, no worth. It will profit you nothing, and will most likely result in your demise. Make G.I. Joe a real American Hero again, or someone else just might take them away from you and do it anyway. Twitter, anyone? Needless to say, this is all just my opinion. Yo JOE!

More like Hasbro doesn't know what to do with the brand. Despite your tirade, the actual optics are the fact GI Joe's brand doesn't have the same appeal as other brands like Transformers. That's why they moved to the idea of the Joes being a global force made up of people from around the world. It's a sad but true fact like how in the UK they had to rebrand them as Action Force. It's not "wokeism", they've tried several times to rebrand and relaunch the property but it's always fallen flat and that's just due to changing times unlike Transformers which are timeless. Honestly given the end of Rise Of The Beasts, it seems Joe's best hope is join with the robots in disguise. Also ever try Resolute and the comics? Cobra Commander in that series was the perfect fusion of him from the comics and 80s show.
