Little known fact: In the original GI Joe comic Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were not enemies, they just happened to be on opposite sides because Storm Shadow owed the Baroness a blood debt. To honor that debt he trained a ninja force for them. In the comics after he finished doing that he called Snake Eyes and told him his debt was paid. Snake Eyes led his own team to get him out. They were brothers who were honor bound to be on opposing sides for a given amount of time. They neither hated each other nor wanted to kill each other.
