Actress Natasha Richardson, 45, died after falling and hitting her head while skiing in a beginner's slope. At first she refused attention but later was taken to hospital complaining of headaches. Not sure if she had a helmet. The snow underneath is hard and is actually ice. Head injuries are dangerous. In Eileen's case she fell backwards. The speed may have made the impact worse. She was going quite fast. Luckily she had the helmet. It is important to get a good helmet to absorb the high impact. She is young so she recovered. It must have hurt like hell. I have been thinking about this. Skiing is a very dangerous sport if you don’t know how to protect yourself. Now for some analysis. The moment is equal to length multiplied by force (gravity plus speed). She was going quite fast and when she fell her body swung backwards as a reaction. In physics there is and equal but opposite reaction to any action or force. Her body was straight when she fell and she is quite tall so the impact would be great. Now if she had crouched her butt would have hit the ground and all she would experience is a sore butt butt not life threatening. For safety they should teach how to fall. Judo is a very good example. It teaches you how to throw an opponent but at the same time how to fall. You have to stretch out your arm to touch the ground thus avoiding in banging your head on the ground and absorbing some of the energy of the fall. In martial arts they teach you how and where to strike but also to blunt it. In short you are taught how to protect yourself. I think Eileen should take some Kung Fu so in dangerous situations she would know to react to protect herself as her opponent is nature itself. The boxing stance is very valuable as you have your gloves in front of your face to protect your face and if she falls face forward her forearms would protect her head and face. If she falls sideways her elbows would be hurt but not her head. The boxing stance also involves crouching so if falls backwards her curved spine would just roll her backwards thus protecting her head. All in all, Eileen should learn boxing, gymnastics, judo, Kung Fu and Thai boxing as she would immediate react fast to dangerous situations with criminals, accidents or in sports. Thai boxing involves kicking. You can kick forward or swing around kick Bruce Lee style. Also in Karate Kid there was a move with a back somersault and a kick which knocked his opponent. If she learns Kung Fu maybe later in life if she decides to go into movies whether in Hollywood or Chinese movies her Kung Fu would come in handy as she is an athlete Kung Fu should be quite easy.

She fell from the rails backward. Then when she landed her back and head slammed to the ground. It would be very hurtful. She should avoid exiting the rails backwards.

@@chintham2861 you need to know how to exit reverse to set up other tricks in the terrain park, so she can't just not do it. Its just an unfortunate accident (and accidents occur). It is important for everyone to wear a helmet, doesn't matter if you're a pro or a beginner.

A good model to promote China and everything that's considered important there. Content so superfluous. Too eager to gain attention.

She is a half Chinese & half American. She’s willing to be an Chinese residence as she reaches age of 18. This is her choice. What’s wrong with that? You’re just jealous her.
