কাওরাইদ বাজার বাংলাদেশের গাজীপুর জেলার শ্রীপুর উপজেলা জনপদের কাওরাইদ ইউনিয়নের কাওরাইদ গ্রামে অবস্থিত। এটি গাজীপুর জেলার সর্ব উত্তরের হাট। কাওরাইদ রেলওয়ে স্টেশনের পাশে রেললাইনের উপরে এই বাজারটি গড়ে উঠেছে। ২০০ বছরের পুরনো ঐতিহ্যবাহী এই গ্রামীণ হাট সপ্তাহে প্রতি বৃহস্পতি ও রবিবার দিন বিকেল বেলায় বসে। ঢাকা থেকে ময়মনসিংহ গামী বলাকা, মহুয়া,ভাওয়াল অথবা কমিউটার ট্রেনে সরাসরি এই হাটে আসা যায়।
কাশিঝুলি, বালিয়াপাড়া, ফকির পাড়া, মোড়লপাড়া, সোনাব, বেলদিয়া, বাপ্তা, নান্দিয়াসাংগুন, কাঠালী, বড়নল, ভিটিপাড়া, লাকচতল, নিমাইচালা, দেদুয়ার, ধামলৈ, পারুল দিয়া, পাইথল, গয়েশপুর, দেউলপাড়া, গোয়ালবর, গোলাবাড়ি, ডূবাইল, মাখল, ফটোয়াটৈক, নিগুয়ারী সহ প্রায় ২৫ টির বেশী গ্রামের বাসিন্দারা নিয়মিত কেনাবেচা করতে আসেন সপ্তাহিক ঐতিহ্যবাহী এই গ্রামীণ হাটে।
এ ছাড়াও ট্রেন যোগে গফরগাঁও, মশাখালী, সাত খামাইর ও শ্রীপুর উপজেলা সদর থেকে হাটুরেরা আসেন কেনাবেচা করতে।
এই অঞ্চলের প্রায় ৮০ শতাংশ মানুষ কৃষি কাজ করে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করে থাকে। বেশীরভাগ গ্রাম নদীর তীরবর্তী অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত হওয়ায় প্রচুর পরিমাণে শাকসবজি উৎপাদন করেন এই অঞ্চলের বাসিন্দারা। নিজেদের উৎপাদিত বিভিন্ন প্রকার টাটকা শাকসবজি ফলমূল তরি তরকারির বিক্রি করতে আসেন সপ্তাহিক এই হাটে। মাছ মাংস থেকে শুরু করে নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় প্রায় সকল প্রকার জিনিসপত্র এই হাটে কিনতে পাওয়া যায়।
২০০ শত বছরের ইতিহাস আর ঐতিহ্যকে ধারণ করে এগিয়ে চলেছে অপরূপ সুন্দর এই গ্রামীণ হাট কাওরাইদ বাজার।
Kawraid Bazar is located in Kawraid village of Kawraid union in Sreepur upazila township of Gazipur district of Bangladesh. It is the northernmost market of Gazipur district. This market is built on the railway line next to Kawraid railway station. This 200-year-old traditional rural haat is held every Thursday and Sunday afternoon during the week. From Dhaka to Mymensingh one can directly reach this market by Balaka, Mahua, Bhawal or commuter train.
Kashijhuli, Baliapara, Fakirpara, Moralpara, Sonab, Beldia, Bapta, Nandiasanggun, Kathali, Barnal, Vitipara, Lakchatal, Nimaichala, Deduar, Dhamlai, Parul Dia, Paithal, Goyeshpur, Deulpara, Goalbar, Golabari, Dubail, Makhal, Photowataik, Residents of more than 25 villages, including Niguari, regularly visit this traditional weekly village market for shopping.
Apart from this, farmers from Gafargaon, Mashakhali, Shat khamair and Sreepur Upazila Sadar come to shop by train.
About 80 percent of the people of this region earn their livelihood by doing agricultural work. As most of the villages are located in the river banks, the residents of this region produce a large amount of vegetables. People come here weekly to sell various types of fresh vegetables, fruits and curries produced by themselves. Starting from fish and meat, almost all kinds of daily necessities are available to buy in this market.
This rural haat Kawrai Bazar is moving forward with the history and tradition of Two hundred years.
