গাজীপুরে যৌথবাহিনীর 'অপারেশন ডেভিল হান্টে' ১৩ থানায় আটক হয়েছে অন্তত ৮২ জন। আজ সকালে, গণমাধ্যমকে এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেন পুলিশ সুপার ও জিএমপি। এসপি ড. চৌধুরী মো. যাবের সাদেক জানান, রাতভর বিভিন্ন থানা এলাকায় অভিযান চালানো হয়। পাঁচ থানায় আটক হয়েছে ৪০ জন। এরমধ্যে, কাপাসিয়া থানায় ১১ এবং শ্রীপুর থানায় ১০ জন আটক করা হয়েছে। বাকিরা অন্য থানা এলাকায় ধরা পড়েছে। এছাড়া, মহানগরের ৮ থানা এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়েছে যৌথ বাহিনী। আটক হয়েছে কমপক্ষে ৪২ জন। আটকৃকত সবাই, আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাকর্মী ও সমর্থক- এ জানিয়েছে আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী।
At least 82 people have been arrested in 13 police stations in the joint forces' 'Operation Devil Hunt' in Gazipur. This morning, the Superintendent of Police and GMP confirmed this information to the media. SP Dr. Chowdhury Md. Jaber Sadek said that raids were conducted in various police stations throughout the night. 40 people have been arrested in five police stations. Of these, 11 people have been arrested in Kapasia police station and 10 in Sreepur police station. The rest have been caught in other police stations. In addition, the joint forces have conducted raids in 8 police stations in the metropolis. At least 42 people have been arrested. All those arrested are Awami League leaders, activists and supporters, the law enforcement agencies said.
