In my opinion the Tucson Gem Show 2024 seems to be relatively expensive for expo priced products. Of course I'm not a professional. Thanks you Dave
@Jackaroo.6 ай бұрын
Could very well be the case. Prices seem to be on the upward trend though for many gems in general. Diamonds seem to have lost their stranglehold and many people are branching out into the wide world of colored gem, driving up demand and with it prices.
@spritelysprite6 ай бұрын
@alexfodor,@@Jackaroo. everything is priced up. Most material has already been extracted and processed prior to our current inflationary period. Show attendance is down, dealers are trying to recoup their losses against unmet projected earnings.
@femmemecaniquedesigns6 ай бұрын
Yes Alex you are right! I guess it is an expensive event and they want to cover their expenses but still! I am now broke 😂😢
@Jackaroo.5 ай бұрын
Colored gems are up in general, while diamonds have gone down, independent of this show. Inflation is certainly a factor for the price increase, but colored gems have grown in popularity in the recent years. I'm a jeweler, and I've been getting more requests for sapphire engagement rings than diamond engagement rings recently.@@spritelysprite

Loved the way the guy without hesitating broke open the turqouise stone to show you. I have a friend that lives in Kazakstan, lost his e mail though.

I love me that golden hills. But be warned Dave. You will loose a lot of matrix when cabbing. Hence why you see people selling sliced pairs. Hard tough stone so you’re good to cab. Cheers mate ✌️

Such a great video. Thank you so much for putting this out. I’m kind a new with us watching you all and love stones and gems. I have quite a few just for personal use. But there are terminologies that you use, which I wish you could like type it up and then take a screenshot put it up so we know what you mean about some things. Lots of terminologies that I don’t know.

Love this video. I have a question, I make wire jewelry on Etsy and would like to know if that’s eligible for wholesale? And if so, what I would have to do to apply.

Do you have anyone you recommend buying opal beads from? Looking to make one necklace with hopefully natural opal.
Following since long. My daughter (SONALI FRANKE) has booth ZEOLITES INDIA INC. at RED LION INN, office #10 next to lobby and OPAL lady's video that you shot. I have sent her Persian Turquoise various jewelry items. CAN YOU GUIDE HER IF QUALITY AND PRICES ARE RIGHT? ALL CABOCHONS ARE POLISHED ALL OVER 360 degree. Many are both sided cabochons which I have made in to focal cab and turned them into necklaces. Please see the products and guide her.

Lunar basalt, that’s funny
@the1dud6 ай бұрын
@@spritelysprite I don't particularly think its funny sir. The moon had geologial activity far before its current cooked pelt stage.
@canadiangemstones76366 ай бұрын
Good luck acquiring lunar basalt. Meteorites, on the other hand, you could buy an actual ton if you wanted.
@spritelysprite6 ай бұрын
@@the1dud firstly, no need to call me Sir, as I have not been dubbed a knight by Queen Libby, nor her progeny King Chuckie… Next, I agree with Canadian Gemstones that you would be more likely to find a ton of meteorites than ANYTHING lunar … Please forgive me for my being amused by your comments, especially the bit about lunar geology, but honestly, there is no way on Earth to verify that a basalt rock at Tucson Gem Show once inhabited the moon. And no, Japan did not just land a rover there, nor has any other nation for that matter…
