If Lucifer is a created being, starting out as an angel supposedly, and god caused Mary to become pregnant with Jesus, doesn't that make God a "father" to both entities? Pretty much any debate with G-man. Persons ask G-man question, G-man says "Well let me ask you a question" and never answers the actual question and then makes a claim. Persons ask G-man to back up claim. G-man gets defensive, says he doesn't do that and that the persons never answered his question or provided evidence for their claims. Persons rebut, provide evidence and then ask G-man again the same question. G-man claims everyone is talking over him and that they never answered his question or provided evidence. G-man proclaims he won and proceeds to rant about how everyone talked over him the whole time, never let him get out a statement and how he embarrassed everyone, with the entire debate yelling all of this into his mike at level 10. Mormons are Christians, and none of them say they aren't. The Book of Isaiah is quoted directly within the Book of Mormon. It's one of the first things I brought up to the 2 door to door visitors I chatted with when they came to visit. On a side note, they were very respectful to the fact I'm an atheist and were willing to listen and talk about my beliefs and their own in a non-judgemental way. Crazy huh? G-man doesn't understand he gets so many views because people think he's a joke. I felt bad for him until I watched some of his formal debates.

I would say that Mormonism is the silliest and weirdest distant denomination of Christianity. I will not say that it is not Christian. I just really did not care enough to learn that much about Mormonism. I was raised Pentecostal so we learned to not like Mormonism and many in my family call it fake. I learned that there was some shady stuff about how Joseph got his texts and stuff like that, but I may be wrong.

None of those Creeds determines what is and is not Christian...that is purely subjective based upon ones faith. It is no more a valid argument than G-man saying that they are not Christian because they worship a "different" Jesus. While they would not be "Orthodox Christian" as "Orthodox" would require adherence to the creeds...but one does NOT have to be "Orthodox Christian" to be Christian. You are right that Mormon beliefs about the trinity are different from those found in the Nicene Creed. However, if the Nicene Creed is the test for Christianity then were the apostles (who lived before the doctrine of the trinity had been developed) Christian? I think Romans 10:9 might be a better definition of who is a Christian. I think you are getting that slightly wrong Steve. As far as I understand the RNA World Hypothesis it went like this. Amino acids, Lipids and Nucleotides all formed more or less around the same time. And they all naturally self-assembled into their respective polymers. Amino acids formed Oligopeptides and Nucleotides formed Oligonucleotides. Among the Latter was RNA. Unlike the others RNA was really good at making (relative) high-quality copies of themselves. Those self-replicating strands of RNA then likely formed the backbone of proto-organisms. So RNA didn't come _before_ Aminoacids. But Protoorganisms likely used RNA before they began using Proteins or even DNA.
