@@MonoDree Yeh a lot of travelling in asia, so being used to asian accents and how they affect pronunciation of English, a background in music, and putting the music through a high pass filter to separate the bassy accompaniment! Also I didn't use this track, it was the "abandoned station" version which has less busy accompaniment and vocals that are higher in the mix! It still took a long time and a lot of repeats lol

Stellar Blade has many wonderfully completed songs. However, this Silent Street song is better than the others. After all, this song is played in the first stage, Eidos 7, and it fits the atmosphere of the city, which has a dilapidated and sacred atmosphere of Eidos 7. I was impressed by this song that appears in the prologue of the story.

It’s amazing but it’s not GOTY. Using GOWR and Spiderman 2 as comparisons (stellar blade is what happens when you combine those two games, and they are all also PS5 exclusives (technically GOWR isn’t but it plays like one)), Stellar Blade does have flaws. Many of the retribution animations are not clean or use unsatisfying angles. The voice acting also gets weird sometimes (like when Adam says grone instead of drone). Not saying the voice actors did a bad job or that I don’t like their voices, by the way. Their voices were amazing, ESPECIALLY Adam. There are other things too. It’s just an overall lack of polishing or resources in some areas. I think this is all fine since it’s ShiftUp’s FIRST console game. In fact, for their first console game, it’s on the same level of impressiveness as GOWR and exceeds Spider-Man 2 in impressiveness. I mean, Santa Monica had like 6 games beforehand where they learned tons and a way bigger budget to make GOWR while all ShiftUp had was a mobile game. They ATE. They incorporated ideas from other games and new ideas very well. Like, the soda can system is so fun and cool. Stellar Blade 2 could very well be one of the greatest games EVER. It’s obviously coming lol, let’s be real. Just fact checked, and I’m RIGHT HAHAHAHAH. Stellar Blade only cost 50M in comparison to the 200M and 300M from GOWR and Spider-Man 2 respectively. Imagine what they could do with more money. Furthermore, Stellar Blade was in development for only 3 years (5 years total, but it took 2 years to find developers). In contrast, both Spider-Man 2 and GOWR were in development for 2 years longer, 5 years. With 2 more years of development and 200M larger budget I think stellar blade could’ve been game of the year easily.

I mean the lyrics describe her survivor's guilt for being the only one on her squad to make it out of the initial drop alive, yet despite her sorrow over this now she's expected to go on and be the hero. Can't say I pictured Eve singing this to herself while she's going all Human Blender on the Naytibas in the area, but it certainly sums up how she's feeling at the beginning of the game. :P

You need an extremely deep bright sensitivity, in order to comprehend the song meaning, that I could barely glimpse myself. At first I believed that it was Eve's way to mourn Tachy's loss, her "Mentor" as well as her sister of battle (exactly the reason of why these humanoid androids they remind me of them so far) Only then I just realized, after listening it over and over that this song is talking about the first fallen angel (Satan lucifer in the bible) and his eternal torment for having him been exiled from Heavens...
